They had just come to Tiger Stadium and had a final seconds touchdown. An incredibly emotional high stress game. Teams do have hangovers after games like that.

So, because of LSU, Bama was beat down and not able to perform against A&M...thus, L, right?

Sorry for being a nudge. I thought my question got lost in the discussion.

I understand the UA smack, but LSU, really? The sad thing about A&M to me, is that

1. They could've made the Bama game a blowout of epic proportions, but instead, looked very pedestrian the next 2 1/2 quarters and almost LOST despite very many chances to score again as well as a sputtering Bama offense

2. Smack talking a team they claim humiliated the conference, when they indeed lost AT home in a day game vs. the tigers. And the excuse that he was very young and inexperienced in the LSU game is null and void. LSU was just better that day and overall. Why? Because the very next week, Johnny Football tore Alabama a new a-hole in the first quarter. If the first quarter of September 14th is anything like the 2 1/2 quarters after that the previous year, A&M better prepare their anus. In that case, it won't be pretty in Kyle which is somewhere they don't have great success against 2 of the main big 6.

A&M was in the middle of its toughest slate of games (without having had a bye).

Aggies were in better shape than Bama, and will be again on 9/14.

Dammit. Tbird.

I wanted him to come to that conclusion on his own.

It's all good.

Their previous 2 games were Auburn and Miss State.

63-21
38-13

wins respectively. That's not a touch time. Starters got to rest. Bama's QB was crying the Saturday before after his 'heroic' win vs LSU.

What's your definition of a beat down? 5 points, really?

Before LSU?

A&M played Ole Miss and La Tech down to the wire RIGHT BEFORE LSU.

So, it follows that...(what's the conclusion?)

"beat down" used in that context meant tired, or emotionally drained, not scoreboard beat down, like A&M will do in BR this year (... )

This is what I am talking about. It's like trying to frick a brick wall (I know, I've tried. Aggie.)

If Bama was tired for A&M, why the frick was A&M fresh and ready after two CONSECUTIVE down-to-the-wire games?

The kicking game can be fully to blame for the near bama comeback imo.

Folks forget that aggie were driving into bama territory AGAIN after going up 20-0. Didn't trust special teams and narrowly missed converting a 4th down by inches. If bama doesn't get the ball back there, they maybe score only one td before halftime.

Just about every game LSU plays will have BCS implications. Not sure why the A&M game should be singled out.

That's true to a certain extent. But, itf neither team comes into the game undefeated or close thereto (no more than 2 losses) it will not have BCS implications.

There is a line between fresh and ready and worn out.

Also look at what I'm saying.

2 close games against ole miss/la tech =/= two close games against Florida and USC (LSU@A&M)

Both teams were worn out, but one of them faced two top 15 teams in a row, one faced 1 unranked and one like 24th. Also, LSU came to Aggie.

What aren't you getting?

Y'all might not have been fresh and ready but I would take emotional offensive games vs La Tech and Ole Miss over defensive battles vs USCe and UF. How close the game is isn't the only factor. The brutality of LSU vs Bama, LSU vs UF, and LSU vs USCe was a lot greater than TAMU vs La Tech and TAMU vs Ole Miss

Exactly, there's a difference. This isn't Big12 score until the time runs out football. Injuries, and just physical football wears you down.

You do realize that this "big12" offense you scoff at was not what we ran in the big 12, right?

And for all the physicality, a&m came through no worse for wear for the most part. Probably the best conditioned team in the SEC behind UF

Yes, I understand you have a different HC and scheme. Thanks for introducing me to what football is.

I'm not interested in perpetuating this argument any longer.

We'll find out who wins. Yes it will most likely have BCS implications.
