Auburn had fresh legs against Clemson; that means y'all should have won, right? I mean, if that's the only reason Clemson won all those games.

so imagine playing Ark, TN, A&M, LSU, MSU , AU and UF in an 8 week period

Except Arkansas, Tennessee (especially when we played them) A&M and Mississippi State all sucked.

Clemson played Georgia Tech, Louisville, @ BC, NC State, @ FSU, Syracuse, Pitt, @ Wake, USC and VT.

FSU = LSU
VT = Auburn
Lville = Florida
GT = A&M
Pitt = Arkansas
NC State = South Carolina
Wake = MSU

I mean, it isn't that different. The SEC sucked last year. I'm surprised you of all people are arguing the other side of this as you have basically said the SEC stinks for the last 2 seasons.

lol...you realize that's exactly why it became legal, right? Because they did try exactly that. Why do you think they called to run a pick play? That was the plan, and Jeff Scott knew it.

That's not what they tried to do you dumbass. The played off coverage.

When I say tackle I mean line up across the line of scrimmage and tackle them to the ground as soon as the ball is snapped.

You realize, if they all just straight up tackled all at the snap (no allowing routes to partially run), Watson would have had the room to run it in, right?

Who was out there to stop him? BTW, Gallman had #22 blocked.

Maybe. Put as the picture you posted shows, Ryan Anderson was in his face when he threw the ball. Gallman wasn't blocking shite. If he had no one to throw to he probably tosses it away due to Anderson being in front of him.

Looking forward to our first real game. Always liked Auburn.
As long as our defensive ends stay healthy, we should be really good on D. I don't think we have a lot of depth at DE. Also, our star freshman defensive tackle is recovering from a foot problem...hopefully it won't cause him any problems.
Not worried about our linebackers and secondary...lots of talent there....but some inexperience also.

Got a good stable of QB's and RB's...however they're inexperienced. If those 2 groups play with consistency, we might be able to make a run at the ACC championship again. I feel like we sometimes start out the season sluggish on offense. Maybe most teams do? I don't pay a lot of attention to others. Only lost our center on the OL. Not sure about TE...probably be a downgrade but I haven't followed the position that closely. Not worried about our WR's.
Should be a great game. No doubt Auburn has major talent. Sounds like the new QB is gonna be good.
Clemson wins by 7 will be my prediction

You didn't get the memo from your fellow Clemson fans...you are not supposed to be gracious, reasonable, complimentary and cautiously optimistic about your team.

You are supposed to go full-blown nuclear trollgasm on everyone.

I knew it would go over the head of someone like you. It is not the record of the teams played, it is the style of play that physically plays on SEC teams overall roster.

FSU does not equal LSU physically
VT and Auburn play similar styles
Lville is nowhere near UF
GT doesn't equate to anyone in the SEC. Wishbone teams do not usually have a long term effect on a team after playing them. It is usually a shorter game and most of the contact is within three yards of the LOS.
Pitt, NCS and WF wouldn't hold up physically with AR, SC or MSU long term.

I watch the ACC play a lot last year, give a team a few weeks and the can compete. Let them run an SEC Schedule gauntlet and see what they look like at the end of the year.

Yep...I bet you do. Knowing how bad you are and how good they've been and will continue to be. 56-7 how sad.

As an LSU fan, I actually hope Auburn wins that game so that when LSU beats them at home later on this season it will make LSU look better.

Its impossible for Clemson not to have a hangover from their 1st NC in 30+ yrs. Having said that we are talking AU with Gus and a brand new QB. Clemson by 2 TDs.

The Clemson game worries. That will be tough. LSU, not so much.

It shows even playing in the ACC, Clemson should have had 2 loses. Imagine playing a SEC schedule.

Don't forget about NC State choking against them, admittedly after Clemson wouldn't stop giving them the ball back.

That's what I'm worried about, and why it's even more amazing what Alabama does every year. I'm cool with whatever this year; can't win em all forever, but I don't believe Clemson's coaches work like most of us.

If you've ever had a great year in your professional life and been recognized, you know how easy it is to ease it back a little and enjoy it. Saban damn sure isn't like most of us, and I really don't think Dabo is, either.

Were some of you born without common sense? The ball in that shot is already in Renfrow's hands...by then, Gallman let off the block. You can see he is right there, and he was Clemson's better pass blocker, btw...the fact you can still see his hand on Anderson and Anderson isn't past him shows he was initially in his face and blocked when the ball was thrown, Watson is already running forward celebrating in it too.

But since you think he wasn't there blocking, then I guess he should be past Gallman in that shot, right...and Gallman was never in front of him as the ball is being thrown?

.

So you're saying Anderson had given up too, huh?

Watch it live, son. He wasn't running anywhere.

On which side of the ball? The only physical defenses in the SEC last season were Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU and Georgia to an extent. Everyone else was charmin soft.

On offense? Alabama, Auburn, Florida (I guess) and LSU play physical smashmouth football. Find me somebody else who does? Arkansas couldn't last year. State didn't. Ole Miss and A&M sure as hell didn't. Vanderbilt, I guess, but not really.

This notion that the SEC is physical and tough was true in 2005. It isn't nearly as true today.

Kentucky , USCe and Vandy are more physical on Defense than 90% of the ACC.

The SECs Offenses have to be physical because most of the QBs suck. You do not have to be very good to have a physical effect on a team weeks after playing them.
