Stidham is not an unknown. He's got a decent sample size from his frosh year at Baylor. The scheme is very similar to what he ran at Baylor..more full field reads, but similar RPOs and run game.
CU being at home is a big factor. Stidham's first big road game at Auburn (did start on the road at Baylor IIRC).
Auburn is loaded in the secondary and should be well equipped to handle the WR (if the QB can deliver timely accurate passes). Auburn's DL will be in his face quite a bit as well. Replacing Carl Lawson is the biggest question mark. We have to have an edge guy step up...from all reports that has been Jeff Holland, but we'll have to see it.
I think we're a touchdown better than CU looking at it position by position, with the emphasis being on QB play. But being at CU makes it a coin-toss. I think Stidham and Daniel Carlson (best kicker in CFB) make it out of there with a close win.

Clemson is the true little sister to Auburn. It is great that the fans are so passionate.
But let's be real. They were nothing before D. Watson, they will be nothing without him. Clemson and the ACC will go back to irrelevancy momentarily, like flash in a pan.

Like I told the other Clemson poster, I actually used to like you guys. In MANY ways, Auburn and Clemson are similar. Every last one of us were rooting for you guys to win the natty. Please forgive our optimism about this year given the fact that the game was close last year, in spite of the most bizarre offensive game plan in modern college football history...and Auburn has far more coming back than Clemson, who lost generational talent. Clemson is similar to auburn because they modeled their university based on Auburn's. They could have done worse, but they get a zero for creativity.

If a team that has gone to the natty twice in the last 7 year, won one and lost the other is irrelevant, doesn't that make Clemson irrelevant? That's not my definition of irrelevant by a long shot...but if it's yours, can't have it both ways
