Oh my. I've defended the Mizzou addition all along, and here you are trying to make that defense impossible. Your "real reason" when it comes will only make it worse.
I still think it will work out well for the SEC and Mizzou, despite Mizzou fans... well, one Mizzou fan.

The real reason Mizzou was invited into the conference is because Arkansas needed a rival. The conference finally realized that 20 years' worth of forced "rivalries" with Arkansas had failed.
Arkansas was the only team in the conference without a rival, and therefore the odd man out. Odd men reduce value.
Therefore, the Mizzou invite was to provide Arkansas with their natural rival to shore up conference weakness.
The Mizzou invite immediately added value to the conference image and the entire state of Arkansas indeed celebrated, regardless of the nonsense posted on the rant.
