That is what the energy sector Manager told me. Lack of commitment to getting the job done, so they don't go to campus to recruit anymore. This is a very large employer in Texas.

perhaps you should have been more focused on hitting those books instead of the football games.

No worries. I retired at 57. Perhaps you should spend more time working and less time hanging out on this shitty website

Perhaps we both should.
I would have never guessed you were retired by the tone of some of your posts. Congrats to you for retiring early. I hope to do the same in about 10 years.

You are full of shite. Major company hires a lot of Engineers off the A&M and Tech campus but zero from Austin.

Not really. When you can hold all night and not get called for it, it doesn't matter how physical you are.

Nothing sweeter in the world than hearing your vanquished opponent whine about officiating. It may very well be the foundation of fanaticism needing the tears of losers.....

I've hung around these SEC parts long enough to damn well know if y'all had knocked out any Texas players you would be chest beating about that much more than the victory itself.

We are meeting you on your level and you can't take it.

Cant speak for anyone else but the only comments I have ever made about an injury was when a loser claimed they only lost because of key injuries...Alabama and Ohio State for example. Even then all I ever said was football requires talented depth....if you lose due to an injury you simply weren't as talented as deeply as your opponent. But you are right, there are losers who love to see someone injured amongst every fan base....

Absolutely is the current situation, I can say that as an employee. Admittedly the company is a demanding employer but they got tired of recruiting longhorn graduates and they quit in a short period of time.

Now A&M and Tech are the go to public schools for recruiting in Texas. Sometimes the truth hurts but evidently your administration may be ignoring feedback from major employers.

I've lived and seen that exact scenario at one company.

They weren't paying enough to attract UT engineers.

This is just your perspective from the shelf that you live on, and the salary ranges of related "jobs". UT engineers don't take imaginary engineering jobs. They aren't in factories or construction.

A&M/Tech "engineers" are educated doers, technicians at best. UT engineers are engineers. You wouldn't know anyway.

It’s been obvious over the years that this is true. When they didn’t get their preferential treatment they threatened or leaked that they were looking to join the Pac12 and also the Big10.

I thought you were talking about Nebraska.

Plug in SEC also in that sentence, and you could be talking about A&M and Mizzou...

Everything Texas has been accused of through the years is because their weak little sisters did it and got away with it by blaming big bad Texas...

It's like in politics, accuse the other side of what you are doing/ have actually done.

It might hurt if it didn't sound like a lie, or an absolutely moronic business decision.

Dude you keep digging that hole deeper. I have been responsible for engineering oversight over very large capital work for a super major. I know exactly wtf I am talking about.

BTW I also have a degree from UT Austin.
