When you add in the fact that Austin is even further from said family in Fort Worth AND the real reason they aren't with him is b/c *drumroll* he cheated on his wife well... that's some pretty good evidence he's actually a terrible person.

His actual family (his bottom) is Chris Del Conte.

What would have been the best way to handle it? When should he have told TAMU and when should the information that he was leaving have become public?

Just vague stuff like that. Apparently Nolan Cain’s son told his basketball coach he was moving weeks ago.

Happens in most coaching searches.

Elko said he wasn't leaving Duke then departed for A&M in the middle of the night.

Y'all didn't say anything about that.

Negotiate job offers after the season ends.

That’s fine, your opinion. But it did change things for A&M fans..

Isn’t that who’s interests he is asking the question on behalf of?

How so? Y'all were going to hate him either way.

What was the timing of the Elko departure? The day after his last game?

That might result in Texas going in a different direction. If it's a job he really wants, he had to strike while the iron is hot.

Jimbo was hired by A&M before Florida State's regular season ended, IIRC

Yeah my kid told me about that. The local CSISD coach was told by Cain's kid the last week of school that they were moving this summer and wouldn't be back next school year.

Did it make him stay?

It only illuminated how bad of a culture A&M has. They were giving him the facilities he wanted, your claiming A&M could have matched the money so ultimately it has illuminated how shitty the environment is.

Do you ever have anything non-opposing/confrontational to say about Texas A&M?
Geez. We get it.
It’s constant from you.

He acted like an a-hole in public and in private.

While technically true, you're leaving out the fact that the "final" regular season game was postponed from September due to weather and only played in December because Florida State needed another win to be bowl-eligible.

You sure?

Ah.. ok that was the timeline. However, I recall Jimbo was feuding with the admin and fan base. He was on the outs. Not playing for a championship that year. So it didn’t seem like he was feeling the support.

Completely fair.

FSU wanted to shite can Jimbo. He'd sucked his last few seasons there. All of my friends and family who went there were glad he was gone.

What?

Assuming what A&M fans are claiming is true and a deal had been done since the post season started. You're saying he should've announced then during their post season run?

Lets say he announced after A&M lost the championship. Y'all would've vilified him exactly like you are now. I guarantee all of you would have said "He couldn't at least wait a day".

It didn't matter what he did, y'all would've screamed bloody murder anyways.

He did. You weren't allowed to set the narrative for once.
