We are about a month into college basketball season and we know a few things early on.
There are some good team, there are some average teams, and there are some really bad teams in the SEC.
How many teams do you guys see making the NCAA tournament? I think once again it will be only 4 or 5 teams dancing in March due to the bottom of the SEC having weak RPI.
Florida- Lock, they look like a final 4 team
Kentucky- Lock have struggled but will improve as the season goes along and have a great RPI Sweet 16
Mizzou- LOCK, they will win 22-25 games 2 and out or maybe sweet 16
Alabama- Bubble They have the talent and coaching to go back to the tourney
Ole Miss- Bubble Due or Die for AK and his Rebels, I think they make it and win 25 games this year.
Arkansas- Outside of the bubble looking in. Will need to play well in the SEC to get a bid
Tennessee- Outside of the bubble looking in. Will have to be able to score more to keep up with the upper part of the SEC
Texas A&M- NIT
LSU- NIT
Auburn, Mississippi State, Vandy, South Carolina, Georgia all are going to have long years.

I agree with you. The addition of Marshall Henderson is just what AK was looking for to go along with Buckner and Holloway. Im looking forward to see how Snoop White improves this year.

UF, UK, Ole Miss, Mizz, Bama in that order imo.

Still early to tell. I think that should be the absolute worst-case BARE MINIMUM expectation this year with the way we're playing.

I say four - your three locks and one bubble. LSU is certain to go to the NIT which is a huge improvement. Next year could be special though.

No doubt, Johnny Jones and Kirby are recruiting their asses off. Yall are going to be VERY, VERY good for the foreseeable future.

nothing i saw showed me a&m's ceiling is anything above the NIT.

I agree with this, I thought the league was going to be a bit deeper this season, but Tennessee is worse than I had imagined.

It's still early but look out for LSU. I think they'll fade down the stretch due to lack of depth but if they get on a roll, watch out. This team plays with a lot of heart.

Don't forget, South Carolina...won't be there.

Let's pretend like we didn't.

Looking at our schedule, the only remaining non-conference game that should be in question is Oklahoma on the road.
We'll end up either 11-2 or 12-1 going into conference play.
Arkansas - 2 wins. You would be foolish to discount the Melvin Watkins curse, which will reach 30 consecutive games this season
Kentucky - 2 losses. We might be able to steal one at home, but that's doubtful.
Alabama - Split. We could win in Tuscaloosa, but not likely.
Florida - Loss.
LSU - Split, although we could take both.
Ole Miss - Split, although we could take both.
Vanderbilt - win
Auburn - win
Georgia - win
Tennessee - win
South Carolina - win
Mississippi State - win
Missouri - I'd say loss for now, although it is in Reed so we could steal it.
Best case conference scenario: 14-4.
Worst case conference scenario: 10-8.
That would put us at 25-5 best case scenario going into the SEC tournament or 21-10 worst case scenario going into the SEC tournament.

you are more likely to lose both than take both.
and no offense but a&m isnt going 14-4 in the conference. that is way too high on the high end of projections.

Then tell me the strengths and weaknesses of our team, who the top players are and our style of play and I'll see if you have any clue what you're talking about.
