And it is not just Tua who is dominated on the long throws.

Fromm is 29.2% on passes over 20 yards.

One reason I was really confident about Alabama winning in 2018 was because I thought Burrow was average at best and even if LSU’s D limited Tua, LSU’s offense couldn’t keep up. Burrow might’ve been a “gamer” but I didn’t think he was a real threat to beat us.

This year, Burrow has my full attention. He’s playing extremely well and is showing a lot of confidence. One of the best turnarounds for a QB that I’ve ever seen and it wouldn’t shock me if he has a Heisman-level performance en route to a victory next Saturday.

I don’t see why he still can’t hit those numbers, we don’t face any more tough defenses until the SEC CG.

Burrow should owe Joe Brady 50% of his first NFL contract.
This is all about the new OC.

A Louisiana legend for winning a regular season game?

Damn I guess I didn't realize just how much damage Saban and Bama have really done to the LSU fanbase psyche.

Fantastic post. Proof that there is hope for this board to actually talk sports.

I dont think he progressed as much as people think. I think he regressed after leaving ohio state and coming play under center his first year here. Imagine how good if he was in his 2nd year of this system

You think Brady is making those throws? Lololololololol

Come on man. He puts Burrow in the position to succeed (just like every coordinator does for every QB) but the QB is the one making the right reads and throws.

You do realize he wasn’t just talking specifically about this game right? It would be the entire body of work this season. Bana just happens to be the last real hurdle in his way this year.

Stop being stupid and trying to throw in senseless digs.

Don't lash out at me. OP literally typed that if Burrow can beat Alabama he would be a Louisiana legend. Apparently doesn't even matter what happens the rest of the season.

I do get where the OP is coming from though. 8 in a row has to fricking suck.

Even Buckeye Jeaux, Burrow's mentally handicapped relative by marriage, didn't see this kind of season coming.
Just because YOU totally whiffed on seeing Burrow's talent doesn't mean nobody else saw it. (I listed some of them above)

You're a baseball guy. Stick to baseball. You suck at football.

He had the toughness, leadership qualities, and the skill set, just the wrong offense. This offense has thrived on his qualities and diminished his inadequacies.

the OP is a rational and factual take but the non-LSU melt here is so hot that even mentioning the team causes so much booty pain

Sounds like an excuse if he loses. It doesn't matter bc no one expected him to be good.

Anybody who thinks Burrow pulled this out of his arse is clueless. He made this huge leap because LSU brought in the right OC. That's not to say Joe could do it if he didn't have ability, but he'd be the same guy who threw 16 td passes last season if he was still is that gosh awful system he played in last year.
Jake Fromm is experiencing the exact opposite, he is suffering from poor coaching.
