Based off of last year I was just hoping he would be a good, solid QB.I never dreamed he would have progressed this much. If he can pull off the upset against Bama, he'll be a Louisiana legend.

Even Buckeye Jeaux, Burrow's mentally handicapped relative by marriage, didn't see this kind of season coming.

I did, and I remember LSU fans laughing at me when I said he would contend for a Heisman.

I did, back in May...

Okay... so my projected numbers were slightly off.

No one expected LSU to ever have an offense like this.

It's his receivers doing all the work.

Didn't realize they let you cash out early like that. I'd be tempted to take it with that big of a gain guaranteed.

Tua has the second best receiving corp in the country. What are you trying to say?

He is attempting to push the narrative that is true about Tuna.

*Combined average of all 100+ yard receivers*

Average Depth of Target
- LSU WR's: 9.80 yards
- Alabana WR's: 5.47 yards

Joe is throwing it nearly 2x deeper.

Because he has to. Tua threw bombs all last year. They've adjusted the offense this year because we can throw the ball 5 yards and take it to the house. Why throw it farther than you have to? I think saban also doesn't want to depend on home run balls. It bit us in the arse last year.

Yes. Some of us expected Burrow to be THIS good. Many of us said he was as good or better than Haskins, Tua, Lawrence a year or more ago.

The first to see it (after Tom Herman) were Ohio State team mates including Mike Weber (called Burrow the next Tom Brady) and the Bosa's. And in March, Rohan Davey said that if E allowed Burrow to run this offense, then Burrow would break all his passing records.

Tom Herman has said it for years. Herman said that he looked at (visited most) every 5-Star QB in the nation in Burrow's Jr and Sr high school years, and kept coming to the conclusion that Burrow was better than all of them.

Don't feel bad if you whiffed on Burrow's abilities. So did Ryan Day, Urban Meyer, Dan Mullen, Scott Frost, etc & etc

And, Congrats to LSU for giving Joe Burrow his Shot! Great move!

LSU rarely throws homerun balls, so I'll assume you haven't watched many LSU games.

Alabana is trying to throw deep, Tuna just can't do it.

Throws of 20+ yards:
- Tuna: 27 attempts
- Joe: 30 attempts

Throws of 10-20 yards:
- Tuna: 35 attempts
- Joe: 65 attempts

The difference is Joe is completing 75% of passes 10+ yards, while Tuna is completing 45% of those passes.
