Sure. Alabama domintad this series from about 1920 through the mid 90's like they dominated pretty much every other series.
But the Bear is long dead and Gene Stallings is long retired, so lets limit our review of irrelevant history to this century:
Since 2000:
LSU 9-7 v. Alabama
LSU is 4-4 v. Alabama in Tiger Stadium
LSU is 0-1 v. Alabama in Superdome
and last, but most relevant:
LSU is 5-2 v. Bama in BDS (Tiger Stadium East).
I think I like the venue of this game.

Now do Saban's record.

bama does tend to play better on the road than at home so I could see why you'd want this to happen

OK.
LSU is 3-6 v. Bama since arrival of Saban.
But 2-2 v. Saban in BDS (Tiger Stadium East).
Still prefer this venue.

Point is:
LSU has a healthy respect for Alabama. But LSU doesn't lose the game when the red jerseys run onto the field like so many other teams. If you can beat us, then beat us.
But Bama does not intimidate LSU, least of in BDS as this has been pretty much a road-team series for most of past 35 years.
Good luck to both teams. I hope the game is not affected much by weather. Looking forward to a classic war between the big boys of the SEC.

I've yet to meet a single LSU fan that does.

No, let's keep it at Bryant-Denny where LSU has an all-time winning record and has given Bama their top two worst defeats there ever by margin of victory.

This LSU fan that suffered through the Bear era certainly does. Still, I like our chances on Saturday.

I have respect for Alabama. After Saban turned the program around, y'all have been at the top year after year. You also have a great history, even if that history is propped up by some debatable championships.
