Would he be the first person you'd give a 5 year deal to, though? 3 years wasn't his premise.
Uh, yes. That's at least 1-2 NC's.
My point was that I'd even take him if he only agreed to a 3 year deal.

Bert, heart attack before his 5 year deal is up.

Nice list, I can't argue with any of it.

Apologies for the tired fat joke, but I couldn't let this go on Mullen:
Compared to Bret, we ALL have room to grow.

but he's just a solid coach and still has room to grow.

Bert above Saban?
You have no cred.

OP ranking is one of the most absurd posts I have read here. Bielema has won 7 SEC games in 3 seasons. His losses are more telling than any of his few wins. It seems to me that EVERY SECW coach (except maybe Sumlin) is superior to BB.

I'm not ranking them best to worst. I'm ranking them according to who I would most want to give a new 5 year contract to.
Great....but the only list Bielema should be #1 on should involve competition relative to the consumption of food.

Fixed it for you:
1. Saban - Best coach of all time. Will give it to him.
2. Freeze - Doing the most with the least since he got there.
3. Miles - Great coach, great recruiter. Going to be a good ride next two years at least.
4. Mullen - He's a good coach solid but can't recruit worth a shite.
5. Jones - Inherited a dumpster fire and is improving every year
6. Bert - Inherited a dumpster fire and is improving every year, although last year was such a bad year that he's behind Jones.
7. Gus - I'm throwing in the towel on Gus. The decline is real.
The rest don't have long enough tenure or are so shitty they don't deserve to be ranked.

Miles at 3 is hilarious. More like 5 or 6 at this point
