My answer still stands. People would be laughing at Bama fans for the melt that was going on then. Bama fans were pissed at Shula and then getting turned down by Rich Rod.

My comparison of Shula to Orgeron was strictly on the Bama fans' view of Shula pre-Saban. Bama fans wanted Shula out much like a lot of LSU fans wanted O out earlier this season. You brought up 2005 from God knows where.

Why would I be deflecting? Bama fans were rabid to get rid of Shula. I would imagine there were plenty that were melting about not getting Rich Rod. Just as this thread showed, there were plenty of LSU fans that were melting/in denial about Saban to Bama. It's not THAT big of a deal. I just pointed out that depending on WHEN you pulled a thread from 13 years ago, it might not have that big of an impact on this board.
