You fricking idiot. He wasn't accused of rape.

Mike Tyson? He was accused of and convicted of rape. Darren Sharper? Same thing.

Do a little research and learn what the frick you're talking about before you associate the word rape with a person.

Nope. Shitheads need to be punished. I'm ok with death penalty for rapists.

"It's not rape if you don't say no." So if a person is unconscious it isn't rape?

Digital penetration meets the definition of rape.

Rape is a word for sexual assault.

Louisiana is like this too.

Anywhere but NOLA they give you a felony charge and ruin you life for any amount of weed. Could be a few granules they extracted from the carpet fibers of your floorboards under your backseat. Literally.

In NOLA you can have a whole bag of ganja and the officer can write you a ticket in lieu of arrest. The ticket is cheap.

I dont believe that is correct. Although it may differ from State to State. My understanding is that the officer can only charge the individuals who are able to reach the "illegal" substance" while in a seated position. They often say "Ill arrest everyone if no one claims ownership of this..." as a way to coax a confession out of someone and make for an easier conviction. Same way teachers do it in school. Proclaims, "Everyone will stay after class if the person who threw the spitball doesnt come forward". Difference is that the teach has authority to follow through. The officer doesnt, usually.

Yes, LE can arrest you. Unfortunately, LE can arrest anyone they want but that doesnt mean the charges will stick and because of BS qualified immunity it also means youll often have no recourse. Our justice system is fricked.

Does state law not preempt local law in Georgia?

Yes but you have to have officers willing to make arrests on those charges. Local police tend to only worry about what their CO or Chief is worried about and the CO or Chief is only worried about what the Mayor and Council is worried about and the Mayor and Council are only worried about what their constituents are worried. The people of Atlanta have spoken. "We dont give a shite about no weed."

The ignorant country drunks in the rest of GA beg to differ. Lest "the animals from the ATL smoke that devil weed and rape and pillage the countryside in a fit of rage".

Ah...but isn't that the way police work everywhere? The "protect and serve" is actually the state, not the people.

Thanks for the answer. I only remember Georgia from my time at FLETC in GlenCo.....had a great time, and FT Benning for one week of airborne school crammed into three weeks.

No it is not. Rape is a type of sexual assault and is considered the worst and most violent type. Saying all sexual assault (as you implied) is rape is idiotic.

Elliott was accused of domestic violence. Although, if true, it's a deplorable act but it is in no way sexual assault or rape.
