Who led Tennessee to believe this? I never saw anything official that Alabama was going to allow this. Everything I heard was on the Tennessee side. Do you have information that I don't?

Are you being serious ? You mean to tell me that when this issue popped up back in May or June that this was all Tennessee's idea and Alabama had no inkling about it until yesterday ? Please.

I saw the idea but I never saw one quote from someone in the Alabama coaching staff or administration that agreed to it. Just because the idea was bounced around it didn't mean our staff ever said they would agree to it.

bammers sticking up for the tiger walk safety issue =

It's because they just found out Mal Moore is against tradition and it sticks in the craw. The next thing to go is the classless rammer jammer. Book it

1) It is entirely plausible that Lane cooked this whole BS idea up without contacting BAMA Athletics (C'mon, we talkin bout Kiffen hear).

2) If Auburn wanted to have their walk, thye should have had it. Pull the busses over, get out, walk to stadium. frick Tennessee.

3) If TENN wants to wear orange (God knows why), WEAR frickING ORANGE!!! Be MEN, take the penalties.

I personaly think they should come out for the 3rd quarter wearing orange. Spice up the second half a little.

I sure hope the game is better than this smack talk.

Auburn did have a Tigerwalk. I don't know if all teams always have to unload as close the gates at Neyland as we did or not. What got us all pissy was them saying (first) that we couldn't have it at all but then recanting and saying we could do it but not with the band/cheerleaders because that would put too many people there.

Denying cheerleader participation was the really dumb part because they don't add to the crowd, they go through the gauntlet just like the players do, so they wouldn't have added to the "crowd" that was there. I also don't think that having 15-20 band members to add some music would have been a big deal - it isn't like we were going to have all 200 or so travelling band members there. Oh well, we made do, and I think the controversy (and the fans reaction to it, as I hear it was one of the loudest away Tigerwalks in a while) may have been just enough to get the fans and players really amped up for the game.

Moore likes the tradition of the Vols wearing white in BDS.

This.

<----Mal

And he's probably sitting back and laughing at all the Vols crying. Mal was a player at Bama. He hates Tennessee as much as all the other Bama fans.

Honestly no team in the SEC would say yes.

The conversation would go something like:

Kiffin would like to...

No.

I'd agree with this. The answer to the original question, why would Alabama say no, is simply that Lane Kiffin wanted to. If anybody in the league has a chance to say no to that guy after how much he has run his little mouth, they'll be more than happy to say no to him.

A tradition that dates all the way back to BAH GAWD 1999!!!
