Lsu fans will only be happy if they beat the best coach in Cfb every year and win the West yearly.
No. You guys really don't see the point.

If he wins 2 of those then he is 5-5 with Bama, I would take that all day.
So would I but that's not what happened and it's looking like they're now pulling away from us because it wasn't even close this time.
I'm ok with giving him one more year, but like somebody else said, it's SECCG or bust. And he better beat Bama. He does those two things I'm all for letting him pick his own retirment. But he doesn't.... HAVE A GREAT DAY LES.

Dude, we hadn't had a title since 58!
Not THAT hard to become the top coach at the flagship university in a state that has top 5 talent yearly.
IMO.

He has kept LSU relevant for sure, but I think he will always be remembered for laying an egg against Alabama for all the marbles.

You can't deny the downward trend since this game.
2011 SEC record 8-0
2012 SEC record 6-2
2013 SEC record 5-3
2014 SEC record 4-4
Notice the trend?

Bear Bryant had multiple "trends" like that. When you have someone who is proven over time, sometimes trends like that need to play themselves out.
Posted on 11/20/15 at 3:40 pm to Meatball
To start off, in no way in hell do I believe Les Miles is equivalent to Bear Bryant but for comparison sake. Here's a similar trend
Bear Bryant's SEC Record (66-70)
1966 6-0
1967 5-1
1968 4-2
1969 2-4
1970 3-4
Notice a similar downward trend? Has Les ever gone 2-4? Damn you Bear, get it together! Let's continue
Bear Bryant's SEC Record (71-75)
1971 7-0
1972 7-1
1973 8-0
1974 6-0
1975 6-0
Les has proven he knows how to win in this league. If he still has the drive to win championships, I believe he can right the ship. However, if he's burnt out of coaching, I wish him the best

Les has had to face
Meyer and Saban every year he played one of them. For five of the years(2011 Saban twice) played them twice. Two best coaches in football. In 06 no Meyer at Uf Lsu is probably a national champion. 2011 without Saban Les is easily a national champ. Miles isn't as good as those two...but no one is. They are the best. He is absolutely top ten there is no question. We as fan bases and I'm looking at mine as well, are too spoiled. Les seems to be changing mind you. Notice how many big name recruiters he is bringing in? He is starting to get loaded classes like crazy. Add in he is so good he screws himself. No one has more kids leave earlier for the draft. He's also put the most successful group in the NFL as a whole. Honestly I really respect Miles and since he's been there have been a Lsu side fan when not playing Uf. It's sad to see the fans turn on this guy. He doesn't deserve it.
Written on phone so don't grammar Nazi it to death I know it's poorly written.

I hope history isn't doomed to repeat itself.
Charlie McClendon was unceremoniously requested to retire in Dec 1979 after 17 years as LSU Coach.
His downfall? He couldn't beat the Bear. But who did ???????
Les Miles has made it through nearly 11 seasons (ostensibly) and has averaged 10 wins a year and gone to two NCGs.
The rumblings? He is 3-7 vs Saban (albeit 7 of the 10 came down to final minute - NO OTHER coach can say that.)
I hope LES decides when Les wants to leave...

The question is will Les adjust to the times. Bryant went to Texas and let Darryl Royal teach him the wishbone and installed it in fall camp of '71. He knew what he had been doing was no longer working so he changed. Saban has done the same thing. Will Les be able to change?

hey dude - thanks for not kicking the dog when he feels a little low
Lsu fans love them some football
I feel about 94% Lsu rocks Ole Miss on Saturday
If they rock Ole Miss on the road you know what they
will do to aTm at home - Les is a class guy and a football guy.
It can't end like this - but just so you know - Les is
in trouble if we lose to Ole Miss - big trouble
It might not be right but the same money guys Bama has
Lsu has those same dudes - they do not have the back
of Les like they do of CMR at Georgia

Wouldn't it be funny if these stats were compiled by CLM and posted online so the fans would share them all over...
Is Speedy actually Les?

He probably didn't compile them himself, but I guarantee you Les Miles is aware of all of those stats.
Seriously, though... That's basically all he needs as a resume.
