Leonard Fournette is better than any Bama RB......EVER!

I can't say that I am surprised that he has more yards rushing than every RB Bama has ever had. I am a bit surprised that he has accomplished this feat midway through his Junior year after missing three games with an injury.
When LF chose to attend LSU he basically admitted that if he wanted to win a NC and/or a Heisman Trophy that Bama would probably have been the smarter decision. It certainly does seem like a long-shot that neither of those will happen after a really bad start to what is his final season in an LSU uniform.
He was smart enough to realize that playing for LSU was probably going to be better for him in the long run (just take a look at how pedestrian all of Bama's RB's that have played for Saban have done in the NFL). Saban basically sucks the life out of his RB's and although they have all won NC's and SEC Titles, they don't have anything left in the tank when they get to the NFL. It is no secret that the "helicopter-coaching" at Bama takes a toll on these players and leaves them emotional zombies when they leave Tuscaloosa.
Whatever happens in the last stage of his career at LSU, I am quite sure that he has no regrets and would do it all over again if given the opportunity. I know the young man doesn't want to peak in college like the vast, vast majority of Bama players.
Let's take a look at his career stats versus the top-5 RB's from Bama....EVER!
Leonard Fournette- (games 29) (Att 570) (Yds 3657) (Avg 6.4)
Derrick Henry- (games 39) (Att 602) (Yds 3591) (Avg 6.0)
Shaun Alexander- (games 42) (Att 727) (Yds 3565) (Avg 4.9)
Bobby Humphrey- (games 36) (Att 615) (Yds 3420) (Avg 5.6)
Kenneth Darby- (games 47) (Att 702) (Yds 3324) (Avg 4.7)
T.J. Yeldon- (games 39) (Att 576) (Yds 3322) (Avg 5.8)
As you can see, LF has more yards, in fewer games, with fewer attempts at a higher yard per carry average than the best RB's Bama has produced since 1892 (that's a long time).
My Bama friends like to tell me that LF is a very good RB, but not a once in a generation talent. They are correct. He is a once in two lifetimes talent if you look at his production. For once, I agree with the gumps.
Now I ask the handful of classy bama posters ( I know you're out there) to give the man his due. Thanks.
For those "Bubba's" on this board, please just move along if the most clever and original thing you have to post contains L5U.
Thank you too.

He's just on a shitty team. He should have come to Bama and achieved greatness during his college career! We win the game by 19, but it will be a fun scrimmage!

Imagine how much better his stats would be if he could run against Alabama. Sad!

Poor ol' Fournette. Finally played a defense worth a shite and couldn't even muster more than 31 yards.
