I think JJ has more upside and downside. If he is on his game, he can be dynamic and beat you. But sometimes he just really sucks.

JL on the other hand appears to be more steady now and you pretty much know what you are going to get - kind of the classic "game manager."

With that said, I think I would rather face JL. Alabama's biggest weakness on defense has probably been losing containment on athletic QBs. I think Alabama's secondary can handle JL passing game okay.

If you had to play LSU tommorow, which QB would rather face? I am asking which one do you think your team would have an easier time beating?

From an ease of beating standpoint, it's pretty much a wash as far as Bama is concerned. We'll let Les determine which way we'll do it. And we will do it.

Makes no difference to us.

JJ and it isn't even close. JL is one of the better qb's in the entire SEC, he moves the ball, plays smart, etc. JJ has less pocket presence than a middle school QB, he leaves the pocket too easily, he has terrible mechanics, basically he blows.

Isn't that true for every offense???

Bad analogy.

Its pretty much 50/50 for me. I would say Jefferson since Lee has been playing well and you want to avoid the guy with the hot hand leading an undefeated team.

But on the other hand, Jefferson's mobility has gotten more and more problematic for opposing defenses over the years.

really? We have the best punter in the country and one of the best kick off returners. Our defense shuts offenses down deep in their own territory where we put them.

Saban used to have issues with dual threats while at lsu. Les will probably try both out and see what works better. I think JL plays right into sabans hand if our oline has trouble blocking.

I 'd.

I think with the way JL has been playing, I would think most would want to see JJ. But to most of you it really doesn't matter which is kind of surprising.

Ask yourself what the last 5 Qbs that beat Bama could do?
Make plays with their feet, is the answer.
I will take Mr. happy feet Pick 6 Lee all day, he aint seen a blitz or a secondary that can cover in a while.

Yeah I guess scoring 38 a game this year is just terrible. 80 percent redzone TDs, and the rest were all MADE field goals. fricking scrubs.

Bama struggles with athletic qbs... so rather face lee. Even though lee has been better he still seems to shuffle his feet and sail balls high quite a bit. However as with most qbs give them a good running game and a good pocket, he has been mostly good

Here is what JJ has done against Bama the last 2 years. Not sure if I want him to start or not...

If my calcs are right he has a 160 QB rating over those 2 games with the lead or won the game.

2010
Passing
Jordan Jefferson 10-13-0 141 1 75 0
Rushing
Jordan Jefferson 7 28 1 27 0 11 3.9

2009 -Leading until hurt in 4th AT Bama
Passing
Jo. Jefferson 10-17-0 114 1 41 1
Rushing
Jo. Jefferson 7 33 17 16 0 15 2.3

Jefferson is far and away the better athlete, but I still think you stick with Lee. I mean after all you are ranked first in the country so hes gotta be doing something right.

As was mentioned earlier about a rushing qb. Good thing about JJ is he is a rushing qb but if he gets banged up or takes to many hits the real qb is still there.
