Yet, since the playing field was leveled in 1974 - scholly limits, coeds (so we didn’t have to import women from Baylor), voluntary Corps - the series is tied.

So you needed a regulating body to make you competitive against the big boys?

Nice comeback..without realizing how pathetic it makes you

the thought that LSU is a premier athletic program that people actually look forward to playing? haahahahahahhahahahahha

Do you live under a rock? That’s actually true. It might not be as big of a deal as it used to be but people certainly look foward to it still.

Ask Oregon, TCU, Wisconsin, Miami, and especially ask your daddy Texas. I’m pretty sure LSU and UT are pumped to play each other.

WestCoastAg is so triggered by this thread lmao... along with the other A&M fans.

Get over it. You're not a blue blood. You're especially not an SEC blue blood.

No matter how hard you try and want to believe, you'll never be taken seriously amongst this crowd.

Know your place. It's a cute place, no doubt, but slow your roll... you know you ain't shite amongst these real SEC blue bloods.

It IS entertaining to watch you guys act like it, though.

Vandy must have been cheating like a motherfricker.

Is it any surprise that no one likes you frickers? Seriously. I mean Aggy is one of the most unlikeable groups of people, and yet, somehow, you're worse.

They’re about the same level as Arkansas, State, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mizzou to me. I personally put Ole Miss above them because OM is a traditional rival to LSU. I care way more about beating the rebels than beating a&m

More aggy myth.

A&M gave out more scholarships during the no limit era than any other SWC program.

Got dam, it would be a full time job trying to clear the record on all of aggys fantasy stories. Your record is who you are aggy..

You last won a NC the year Hitler was Time magazine “Man of the Year” & you haven’t even won your division this century.

Absolutely? tu isn't that much more successful than A&M, especially recently. Just look how close we were in the 80s and 90s to playing for titles.

Aggy sucks and everything, but ran away TO the SEC West?

C'mon, dude. Aggy is stupid, but they knew what they were getting into when they "ran away" from the little 10 to the SEC West. Don't let your want to troll Aggy make you look stupid in the process.

Anyone who isn’t intellectually dishonest knows we were trying to step out of their shadow and into the spotlight to try and have a more distinct brand for recruits and the national audience.

Texas or the record alone was never the problem, at least any more than Bama is to LSU in the modern era. It’s only one game on the schedule.

Our problem in the Big 12 was there was no reason to go to Texas A&M and play 90% the same schedule as OU or Texas at a shittier program. Our problem in the Big 12 is if we whiffed on a coaching hire suddenly Texas Tech or TCU or Baylor were at our throats in recruiting. The SEC gave us a permanent moat away from ankle biter programs, and gave us something different to sell to in state recruits who are otherwise just going to go to Texas or OU.

Anyone who is intellectually honest will also say we have done better in the SEC than most people expected, and we have leveraged the move as much as we possibly could to take a step forward as a program. When you consider where we started in 2011 I don’t know how anyone could expect more out of us.

But the Rant isn’t the place for such conversations and intellectually honesty so in our tradition go frick yourself.
