Feel free to expound on how this applies to Strom Thurmond. Also feel free to tell me about all the great confederate soldiers who also fought in the war for independence.

I would take them more serious if they simply donated all their $1 Dollar bills to worthy cause along with every Quarter they get back in daily transactions

Haven’t read the thread but no student or alumni actually calls it by it’s full name. It’s just called the Strom.
To the larger point, don’t rename it. I have zero interest in renaming it. If we approved the name of the building before, then there is no reason to change it now since we knew who Strom Thurmond was then and nothing about him has changed since.
They came to South Carolina knowing the name of the Wellness Center. If it bothered them, then they had the choice to go to another university. If it didn’t bother them then, then why does it bother you now?
