Overall career then Fisher would be #3
one season of lucking into a title doesn't make you a better coach. Guys like fisher, orgeron, chizik, etc don't belong in the upper tier of coach rankings by riding the backs of generational talents that were gone as soon as they arrived.
Mark Richt is a better coach than any of those despite not having a natty

Beamer ahead of Stoops is idiotic. As is Freeze at 11.
Not sure what either has accomplished to justify getting triggered over the order.

So much Jimbo and Aggie hate out there in the media
This is good, A&M sucks when overhyped

Do these sports writers even follow college football?
Good question. Reads more like a personal preference based on who was nicest to him at media days…

Freeze starts at the very bottom for me until this season is completed

Hard to make much of an argument for Jimbo.
He's putting out Ed Orgeron results these days.

tbh, this looks a lot more like where he thinks each team will finish this season if there were no divisions rather than a ranking of HCs
looking at it in that light, it seems pretty damned accurate

Not sure why he would be below Arnett unless there’s some moral character component to your ranking, but that’s fine

Hey man, I’ve been pretty critical of how he’s handled QB with Calzada and King - and the playcalling last year.
But his recruiting is great, he’s won an Orange Bowl and finished top 5 while playing an SEC schedule.
So it’s just a popularity contest.

I agree that Stoops at Kentucky has been consistently solid

Drink has yet to have a winning record at Mizzou. Pittman has done so 2/3 years. Congrats on your SB win 2/3 years

Let's not forget a 3rd string QB!

The man has accomplished more in 9 months than 85% of the coaches on your list has in 2 years.
Love it!

Ed Orgeron did all of this and won a natty and had a better winning percentage than Jimbo and he wasn't a very good coach.

Without Burrow he never comes close to a national title.
