Kentucky and Tennessee lead the way in conference. Teams need to work on offensive and defensive efficiency, or y’all will be exposed in the tournament.

KenPom rankings as of 4/6

My impression on what I see happens in March.

Tennessee 7. 3rd offensive and 22cd defensive efficiency. Somewhat improvement with defense past couple of games but needs to improve more for a run.

Kentucky 9. Reed injury has been shown to hurt Kentucky with defensive efficiency at 13 and holding steady at 8 offensive efficiency. Reed comes back, I can see Kentucky making a deep run for the Final 4.

Auburn 14. Offensive 16 and 34th defensively. Auburn is a team that could go deep but could easily get knocked of fun the 1st round. Want to see how they do in Nashville.

LSU 17. Good team offensively but will get exposed in March going against a hot team in the NCAA. Defense is not strong at 56 defensive efficiency (see last night vs Florida who is horrid offensively efficiency). LSU does not want to be matched up to a great 3 point team (UVA type of team).

Let the downvotes begin.

73-71 and 82-80 are all I need to know.

You and KenPom have fun.

Done.

Thanks for posting the KenPom - but I downvoted for the adding of your own impressions to it as if the kenPom website said that.

LSU is much better than you think.

My thoughts. KenPom is usually spot on.

You don't say, LSU doesn't want to get a matchup with one of the best teams in the country?! Shocking I tell you. Ground breaking analysis right there!

LSU has been winning close games. But their defense stats and data says their luck is about to run out.

Kenpom isn’t really friendly towards the SEC. I would have Tennessee 4, Kentucky 5, and LSU 22.

Third place in the SEC two years in a row makes you Kentucky fans really, really salty. You're more entitled than Bama football fans.

You also melt harder.

ETA: NVM, you losers finished 5th last year. No wonder you're so bitchy about third this year.

How about a Belmont or Creighton type of team.

I mean, both of you are right. LSU is a team on par with Auburn and MSU. However, they have been finding a way to win games and better realize their potential. That is a credit to LSU, but as a predictor of future results there are reasons to think LSU might not be able to continue to punch above their weight.

So kenpom weighs stats ahead of wins. Got it.

You know that, I know that, and I think LSU fans even know that. I thinks thats why they are celebrating so hard for a co-championship.

LSU doesn't get to hold like Ky and Tn does. That's the difference.

I hope we play Ky (or Tn) in the big tourney.
