I think of the preseason polls as a necessary evil.

I'll admit I do enjoy watching the committee come out with a different evaluation and the poll voters frantically adjusting the following week.

TAMU has been ranked #1 every year in College Station since 1907. Isn't that impressive?

As much as I hate the puke orange, if anyone was robbed in 1950 it was Tennessee. Kentucky played FOUR non-1A teams and lost to the only 1A team they played with a winning record. Tennessee (11-1).

With that said, I don't know how in Hell Coach Bryant thought he could beat Oklahoma. But he guaranteed the Sugar Bowl folks that he would if invited (over Tennessee) and then went down there and did it!

So wrong. You were ranked #13 and lost to BYU. You were #25 the following week and lost to SLU. Do you think people can’t google?

I don’t know about that. College Station HS did win a 5A state championship not long ago.

Only cut 7th out because its Missouri lol. Any other school at 7 and you would of included them.

It’s laughable that you think I care that much about Missouri. They are too irrelevant for me to troll.

Lol wasnt saying that you were trolling. I was just pointing out that if any other school was at the 7 spot, you would of included them in your post.

False

I stopped at 6. In the Southeastern Conference, we talk about the Big 6. Beer comes in 6-packs. 6 is a nice, round number.

Weeks ranked #1 in AP poll:

We had to win something like 18 consecutive games, and a national championship, just to be ranked for 1 week. They quickly corrected their mistake the following poll, despite that we won again.

Vandy is the biggest shock here, imo. They led the SEC in victories for decades, so I'm surprised that 7th is the highest they've ever been ranked.
