Eddy Lacy. What a waste. Great RB can't keep his weight under control.

He was a beast right out of college but man...he has probably ate himself out of the league. I wonder how on top of him our coaches had to stay when he was at Bama.

52-6, with our qb we had to bench to beat another SEC team for the title.

My granddaughter went to the same high school but was 2 grades ahead. She said that as a sophomore he had a 3rd grade reading level. Sai covered all sorts of issues up there with grades. She swears that in no way, he could have qualified at LSU let alone Bama. Yet he did... legend...

Half of every team could not get in on academics.

Lacy was notoriously behind in school. It’s a miracle Bama got him eligible and kept him that way.

Must’ve had a baby sitter in Tuscaloosa.

Like Cardale Jones said, they come to college to play football not study.

Lacy was far slimmer at Bama so someone was most likely keeping on eye on him.

We will never know, but if you go by NFL careers then I think you have a good argument. Nonetheless, it was a blow to the old bcs system when an undefeated SEC Champ got left out. Mid majors such as BSU, and then mid major, Utah going undefeated, and then a rematch of two SEC West teams is what has lead us to playoffs. Now the football final four just took a blow with an undefeated mid major being left out, and once again two teams from the same conference in the finals. I think we may be headed to a 6 or 8 team playoff in about a decade or so. We just need a little more chaos.

What's more impressive is they are all from different teams.
