I like Jalen and I appreciate his ability but I knew last year he was missing open receivers and scrambling too quick... I think he improved, some over last year, but it is hard to argue how Tua comes in and receivers are managing to get open but they were not doing so with Hurts in the game?

For me, I don't Hurts has great vision of the field and I think that his vision is affected by his ability to scramble...

However, you cannot discount the fact that he has shown he can find a way to win...

I think it's fair to say that the Jalen Hurts era is over.

Lane Kiffin is almost as obsessed with Bama as LSU is.

BS. He would have stayed until spring.

Clearly you've spent zero time on the Bama board this season. Tua riding pine split this fan-base in half, and created an insufferable amount of fighting.

Lane Kiffin likely has an attention seeking personality disorder along the lines of HPD. The guy just can't help but try and insert himself in any news or story surrounding Alabama.

As I said before, around mid-season when this topic came up, Tua is a Christian kid, who would never have transferred. He's not wired that way. This is something Kiff simply doesn't understand. They are polar opposites.

Oh come on. Dont be a dumbass. Lots of people associated with that program love Lane...it's not that hard to get a pulse of what's being discussed by players.

Christians don't transfer ? You think an elite QB like Tua would have sat behind the Hurts derp show for three years ?

But a phenomenal coach. Just look at what he did with Hurts. AMAZING.

Not him. His family moved to the state. His younger brother plays prep ball in bama. He has stated he would not transfer and he was a team player in this regard. No, he wouldn't have transferred. Okay, if you don't understand him. I happen to know the young man, but hey, who am I?

Kiffin talks out of both sides of his mouth. He was staunch in his defense of Hurts throughout the end of the season. Lane says whatever he thinks will get him attention.

Dude, it’s not an easy call to bench a guy that wins, doesn’t turn it over, and his overall offensive stats aren’t bad. Jalen was a perfect fit for last years team. An overwhelming defense, and a solid Oline. All Saban needed was a game manager. Hurts turned out to be a little more than that. He was SEC offensive player of the year in 16. It’s not easy to bench a guy who does everything right.

But when Alabama played good defenses, it was too easy to make them one dimensional. Kirby had to be licking his chops watching tape. I think Saban knew all year who the better player was, but there’s a loyalty factor there too. Players don’t like flip flop coaches. Look at what spurrier did his last few years at Florida. Players don’t like that shite.

This is exactly the problem. The coach has to be loyal to the team, not a player.

Think of all the progress the WR's could have made with Tua getting them the ball. Think of all the holes the RBs could have run through without 8 in the box all season.

Think of the money Ridley may lose thanks to not having a QB all season.

Coach owes it to the TEAM to play the best players - especially at QB
