If the 2009 version of those players is your definition of solid, I would like to know who you consider to be mediocre.

They were back up players... Some of the guys you were bragging about UGA getting drafted didn't even start against UT....

So Tennessee in 2009 was more talented than LSU last year?

Is that what you're arguing? Because 2009 Tennessee had more players drafted.

Why do players not count unless they are draft eligible?

Its because Kiffin is probably the most charismatic coach in college football. It is one of the reasons he recruits so well

Maybe, LSU was only above average in 2009. They didn't beat one ranked team. LSU probably had better depth but as far as the starters, probably not.

UT had the same amount of players drafted as LSU.

Because the only player for that UGA team that would have been drafted in 09 was Aj Green. Thats like saying Bryce Brown should count for Kiffin's draft total at UT. Guys drafted in this year's class were not going to get drafted in 2009 like Brandon Boykin or Orson Charles

That was a young LSU team. They only had 5 senior starters.

I don't follow? I thought the only way of comparing talent between two teams was to look at draft picks the following spring?

The way you explained it to me was that future draftees like Brandon Boykin and Orson Charles don't count.

I guess Kenny Hilliard, Tyrann Mathieu, Jarvis Landry, etc. don't either.

Tennessee 2009>LSU 2011? Agree?

Its not just draft picks, but you seem to think players like Rico Mccoy and Wes Brown suck because they didn't get drafted.

LSU is a young team. They only had 5 senior starters, and that includes Jordon Jefferson. Im sure more of their players could have left early if they wanted to.

You are trying to compare Brandon Boykin and Orson Charles to LSU's players and that's not a fair comparison. LSU went to the national championship and UGA lost to Kentucky that year and was a very mediocre team. Half of those players you said got drafted didn't even start for UGA in 2009. Can you really not see the difference? Some players mature and develop later than others. That is like trying to compare Denarius Moore his sophomore year to Darick Rogers

If you fail to see the problem with your argument then I don't know what to tell you.

What you fail to see is depth. You are mentioning these same players over and over. Obviously there were a solid group of 6-10 guys. But the rest of the roster was GOD AWFUL. UGA 1-85 was far more talented than Tennessee, Maybe 1-10 Tennessee was better, but football takes about 55 guys and Tennessee's last 30-40 were terrible.

Kiffin brought us: Nukees Richardson
Janzen Jackson: Darren Myles: Mike Edwards: :banghead: Bryce Brown: :banghead: David Oku :banghead: Matt Milton: :banghead: Arthur Jeffrey: :banghead: only Tyler Bray and JuWuan James and Cory Miller who were early enrollees were Kiffin recruits. Marsalis Teague was recruited by Kiffin and he has been injury prone. So has Marlon Walls. Other than that..No other players are Kiffin recruits..

Right. Dooley brought in his best recruits at the most unstable part of his career with no help.

Dooley brought in Hunter( who was committed to LSU) Rogers who was committed to Georgia and James Stone. Bray was recruited by Kiffin and Juwaun James and Cory Miller, everyone else is a Dooley recruit.

You been watching/reading about the freshman...Drae Bowles is a man..A younger version of Da'Rick without the drama. Croom is 6'5 and 230 and catches everything in sight...The Peterman kid who came from Florida was 6A player of the year..There already comparing his game to Heath Shulers.

Kiffin brought in Bray and got him to early enroll. Name me ONE OTHER starter that Kiffin brought in that has been special..You can't too many "BUSTS".
