let's be honest. He was probably spending all his time working on FAU instead of working as OC for Alabama. Would it really surprise you if this came out?
Kiff is not like Smart. Dude has no loyalty.

Lane Kiffin officially out as the OC per Saban!
Saban has lost all control of that program. It's hilarious.
This has to be the dumbest statement ever.

Right. It had nothing to do with the QB hitting the wall.
You and I will never have the position that Kiffin has been given.
That being said, if your QB is hitting a wall, do you continue to put the game in his hands or give it to the running back that was gashing the opponent for 9.5 ypc?

There's no way he was 100% invested in Alabama with one foot out the door.

bama turned into a side job, I mean that shouldn't surprise anyone and after the games he's called shouldn't really be debated by anyone

Clemson has a good chance to win the game regardless of who is calling plays. I think Alabama's odds are better with sark calling plays, so your timing on placing that bet was odd

IMO the distraction of this outweighs Sark's ability as a play caller

You keep saying this - except in key situations Lane kept letting QB who hit the wall run complex pass option stuff instead of crafting a plan based on a running game that gashed the last 3 opponents we played, all opponents with Top 15 rush defenses.
Here are our drive summaries from the 2nd and 3rd quarter Saturday when we had the ball starting at our 40 or closer
1st and 10 at Washington 45 (7:15, 2nd)
- Hurts pass attempt, sacked, -2 yards
- Hurts run, 0 yards
- Hurts pass, incomplete
- PUNT
1st and 10 at Alabama 44 (4:37, 2nd)
- Hurts pass incomplete
- Scarbrough run 16 yards to WASH 40
- Scarbrough run 12 yards to WASH 28
- Hurts pass attempt, sacked, loss 16
- Hurts pass complete, 3 yards
- Hurts pass complete, -3 yards
- PUNT
1st and 10 at Washington 48 (4:16, 3rd)
- Scarbrough run, 4 yards
- Hurts run, -1 yards
- Hurts run, -3 yards
Kiffin was a disaster with his pass play calls and his direct runs for Hurts. Washington couldn't tackle Bo for less than 3 yards, yet Lane INSISTED to continue running and throwing with Jalen.
It was poor coaching. It was poor playcalling. If you can't recognize that, then I don't know what to tell you.

Let's call it like it is. Kiffin ran his mouth a little too much to the media after he took the FAU job, had a shitty game as an OC against UW, and Saban felt comfortable enough to ask him to move on because the players are comfortable with Sark since he's been around.
If Kiffin calls as shitty of a game as he did against UW when Clemson is on the other sideline he loses a championship. And while the offense doesn't change from a playbook standpoint, the tendencies in which they're called does. Leaving Clemson on their heels a little bit to prep for it.

He had 20 and 14 passing attempts in the last two games. Alabama rushed for 500 yards and 6 TDs in those games. Looks to me like Kiffin was trying to get as much as possible out of his offense when he couldn't trust his QB to throw it.

this decision is just like many NS has to make when he has a disgruntled or a distracted player who is bringing the team down with off and on field issues. You cut bait. I think there was serious conversation about him not coaching at Bama anymore once it was announced He was the FAU coach. I assume NS had a talk with LK and felt like he could do both. Now it is obvious he couldnt. The comments he made at the presser about nothing happy and only recalls arse chewings may have been the final straw but it was too late to cut bait before saturdays game

Plenty of OCs could have done what Kiffin did
But those guys ain't Kiffin.
He's good at one role, but his limitations are what they are and always will be. He was good for what he did, but the minute there was grown up delegation and multiple balls in the air everyone knew it was going to fall apart. Or they should have.

Clemson made Kiffin quit and they haven't even played yet? Rats jumping off the sinking Bama ship while they still can.

I don't see how Clemson is on their heels. The personnel is the same and the playbook is the same. Clemson calls the game the same way they were going to anyways. The distraction is solely on Bama and they will be answering questions about this all week before the biggest game of the year.

His situational use of Hurts running and passing was miserable.
It wasn't hard to see, and my guess is even Kiffin knew it once he went back and watched the film and looked at the drive charts. It was a bad plan and bad execution.
It doesn't mean Sark is going to light it up Monday, but it does mean Kiffin did a bad job Saturday. It was pretty obvious.
