Always amazes me when one fanbase within the SEC thinks they're any more intelligent or less low class than the others.

Hey, remember when a former head of the KKK received 32% of the vote for governor in Alabama? Oh, you don't?

Because that wasn't Alabama at all, it was Louisiana in 1989.

David Duke was a nut job with a racist past who served 2 years as a state congressman and lost every campaign he ever had for a higher office. George Wallace served as the GOVERNOR of Alabama in the 60's 70's and 80's whose legacy is that he ran on a platform of SEGREGATION. HUGE difference.

George Wallace did more to advance Black people in Alabama than just about any other politician this state has ever seen.

Oh come on, while it is normal to admit every SEC school has issues and trashy fans, one school dominates the sensational trash stories, and it really isn't close.

You and I both know this, but many people just ignore what else he did in his career.

It is kinda weird actually.

And then realizing he was an a-hole and trying to undo that legacy is just so forgettable, correct?

I am glad that no one in Alabama uses the N-word.

The white people in this state are the most racist I have ever seen and they say it all the time. I love the self-righteousness of the Bama fanbase, though. So fitting.

None of my black friends think the n word is racist, and laugh at people who do.

I forgot that the state govt of LA during those times was basically modern day San Francisco. Let's leave the who's state is more rasict argument alone and get back to the real reason we are here. To laugh at LSU fans over reacting.

Btw I'm having a ball in this thread. Thanks to all who have contributed.

Unfortunately, appointing a few black people to cabinet positions late in life doesn't undo his lifelong record of trying to suppress the rights of every black citizen in the state of Alabama. Sorry.

Patton, let me start off by saying I know what you meant.

Now let me continue by saying title of the world's shortest book, Alabama politicians who advanced Black People in that State.

More black people got state appointments than ever, it goes beyond the cabinet.

I understand that people think of him only in a certain way, it just isn't the whole story.

To this day, Justin isn't pleased with the choice. She wishes her son was at LSU and not Alabama. There's the distance factor, but it's also no secret she doesn't get along with the coaching staff in Tuscaloosa. She said she's still never met Collins' position coach.

"No one reached out to me. I went to his second spring game and the coaches come and greet you at the table for the picnic and stuff, but not one coach, not one, said hi.

"I looked around and all the different recruiting coaches from the different areas were by their table, but [running back coach Burton Burns] did not come to the table."

Really, she got a bad impression of UA coach Nick Saban from the start.

"This is what I said to Nicholas" -- clearly emphasizing his full name -- "'You're not going to talk NFL to me. Talk education and life after football. I don't want to hear anything about the NFL because that's not promised to my kid, so don't put that in his head.'"

Momma still ain't happy. Honestly, I kinda figured all this should of been dealt with and resolved by now. According to LC's momma, the Bama staff ain't much for communicating with her.
