State has more SEC Championship trophies in football, MBB, and baseball than Auburn and Tennessee also. Actually, only Bama, UK, Florida, and LSU have more than State. The more you know.

Actually, that stat just makes it so much more funny. Your baseball team has won the SEC (by far the best conference) 17 TIMES and couldn’t scrape together a SINGLE National championship? Massive oof.

If you do, you may also remember the last UGA Big 3 NC. Coincidentally, the combined avg age of the aforementioned baseball title and last football title is also 30-something

Where are you getting your math from? I see 11 in baseball and 6 in men's basketball and one measly one in football.
1 for football
6 in mens basketball
11 in baseball

SEC Tournament Championships also. They count as official championships and trophies are awarded, as well as the auto bid in the tournaments.

A question was posed about State being the worst in the conference. Apparently they are about 33% better at winning conference championships than UGA. I don’t see how a football championship 41 years ago and baseball championship 31 years ago makes UGA better than State in the conference. I am not even a State guy (LSU).

UGA doesn’t count those since they have never won one in baseball and only have two in basketball ever.
Geez, I did not realize just how bad UGA has been at athletics historically until this thread.

You won the SEC tournaments in 96 and 02 in basketball and 5 tournaments in baseball. That's still not 28?

I gotta think it’s more than two. And they weren’t the ones that said UGA was the worst in athletics. It was UGA that said it about State. This thread didn’t end well when facts got involved instead of perception.
