A coach should shake the other guys hand and say something comlimentary like "Good luck to you the rest of the season" or "Great game coach, you fought hard" or even "We HOPE to see you in December." Not "We'll see you in three weeks."
That's Coaching Etiquette 101 stuff. I'll take the downvotes but you folks know I'm right. Especially those of you in the coaching profession.

Kirby was pretty much defending Saban's honor there. He was saying perhaps UA would have something to say about that.
He wasn't going to go back and tattletail but it was a check on Malzahn's ego that was running a muck at the moment.

I actually have no problem with Malzahn saying that. that's football. If thta is the worst thing he ever says, then we'll probably all survive.
I also have no problem with Smart's response. He was probably upset about the game and said the first thing that popped in his head.
For what it's worth, Smart did not say anything to Saban about it. Shoot, after the news got hold of it he didn't have to. It was going to Saban through the papers anyway.

Well. They did. It doesn't mean we have to like it. but are you seriously trying to say we would not have said the same thing had the situation been reversed?
If I understood it correctly, he turned after the interview and said it to somebody behind him.
You know, Auburn fans and Georgia fans don't have to hate each other. I want to beat Auburn less than GT or Florida, but i want to beat them every time we play them. But it has absolutely nothing to do with their fans...or coach.
