For now. There's often a rubber band effect to these things.

The stronger an event draws people together, that stronger it can pull them apart when people start feeling like they were mislead or whatever.

I mean, sure, i agree he doesn't really care about LSU, he's only been down here for 9 months and has coached 1 game. However, our futures are now tied together, so if he cares about himself then he has to care about LSU. There's no college program he is going to leave LSU for. Not saying LSU is the most desirable job, but at this timing in his life, this is his best opportunity to win a national championship. Plus he's already coached at a bunch of other schools, and he's probably not welcome back at some of them. There's really not much ay other program can offer him at this moment. He can be a god in Baton Rouge, not so much in any of the other big program towns. Therefore, his most likely path to leave LSU is to the NFL. But again, i think he wants that title really bad. So would he leave for the NFL without winning a title? No, he likely would not.

No more than standing up for our fellow founding members who were getting railroaded.

Maybe Kiffin boinked Sanky's wife or something.
Has to be a reason he's going after Kiffin so hard.

Tennessee was united when he accused Meyer of recruiting violations.

No doubt, if he were winning, USC would've been united when he deflated the footballs. It's the way it always works.

I don't expect any LSU fan to listen to reason on Lane. So we understand. That doesn't mean we're gonna accept your "technical" truth, "We didn't break any rules" about what's going on.
