That's a contradiction. I have vague memories of Pete Carroll at USC winning before the ascension of the SEC and Chip Kelly at Oregon valiantly challenging SEC dominance and failing at it. Since then the Pac12 has been a joke of a football conference. The SEC, OSU, and Clemson are all that's relevant in CFB right now. I don't even like that, and I wish it would change. But it won't anytime soon. Going to Oregon would be a foolish move for anybody who aspires to prove himself at the highest levels of the game.

Not compared to Ole Miss, everyone is relevant compared to them
Going to Oregon would be a foolish move for anybody who aspires to prove himself at the highest levels of the game.
Unless they’re the Coach at Ole Miss and trying to achieve anything meaningful is futile. Then the only sane thing to do would be to go to Oregon

I’m in no way saying he’s not a top notch coach. I’ll even say Clemson would probably only have 1 Natty against Bama if Saban didn’t fire Kiffin before the Finals against Clemson
But you can’t win anything meaningful at Ole Miss, and Kiffin knows that
A more mature Kiffin at Oregon could do some things. He’d be a fool not to go

Ole Miss > Oregon or you wouldn’t be on an SEC board pleading your case to people who don’t give a shite. Congrats Pittsburg on the ACC title please go build a Dabo shrine and hope he doesn’t leave for the Raiders.

I hate that you’re making me take up for Ole Miss here, but you do realize seasons only had 10 games for eons, right? Ole Miss had some damn good teams back in the day. If we’d always played 13-14 games, they’d have multiple 10 win seasons.

Been playing 12 games a year including the bowl game since 1978
Couldn’t lose less than 3 games in 43 years?
Know why? Because they suck, and always have in anything resembling modern day football

We’re even on Bama wins in the modern era with 2 wins each. Not many can say that. That’s really the metric. Ole Miss has played in three NY6 bowls since the new format also if you want extra fart sauce.
