I haven’t seen Jimbo publicly announcing dollar figures - because that could be viewed as improper

Kiffin's best point is about boosters acting like owners. That already happens to some degree, but we may be turning that to 11. What happens when some kind has a jumbo NIL deal and the coach benches him?

Are we going to have boosters making personnel decisions, in-game decisions? That might be business as usual at Auburn, but not many other places.

I wasn’t referring to A&M. Pancake house or factory. Whatever it was called.

I can't agree more, NIL is turning into what I hate and no longer watch the NFL.. Players now get paid and the transfer portal is free agency.. We are going to lose the passion we used to see in college football, players giving it their all to try and get to the next level.. These top recruits are already divas who think they are God's gift to this earth and paying them makes them even worse.. Transfer portal is such a Gen Z thing, if you go to a school and face a little adversity and don't get everything your way you can bail out of your situation.. Here is the thing you choose to go to the school you picked, nobody forced you. Players should have to sit out unless they graduate still, lets hold them accountable for something this is ridiculous.

Can said grad student make money on the side off his/hers name, image and likeness using their talents as tutor? Are grad students allowed to have jobs outside of the classroom/lab?

This whole article is a waste of time. Kiffin was going on about the portal before, now he likes the NIL. He just likes to hear himself blabber about. The NIL is the dumbest thing in the history of sports, certainly college sports. These kids aren't equipped to deal with the fallout that's going to happen to many of them. All in the name of greed smh.

I read Kiffin's quotes as if they were references to his success with the Ole Miss co-eds after he got himself back into playing shape.

Pretty sure they're making money off of their SKILLS when they tutor, not their "name, image and likeness." You know what "name, image and likeness" means, right?

Yes. So can football players.
