I think its doesnt seem odd to you because youre looking at it through purple and gold lenses, and thats totally ok.

Maybe.

I didn't really find it odd when other coaches did the same thing though.

That’s fine. I still don’t get why people think he’s going to leave LSU for another college job. The ONLY one I could ever see him leaving for is USC and they’re not hiring him again. Why do you Gumps think he would run to yall from LSU? If Bama wanted him they had their chance. No sitting LSU HC is leaving for another college job. These are flat out facts that have been proven time and again. If an LSU HC is successful and wanted by other programs they’re not leaving LSU because they would be winning nattys. The only thing LSU fans have to worry about if Lane is successful is him scratching the pro itch again. Yall better hope that’s the case. He will succeed at LSU. He’s much more experienced now and worked with enough HOF coaches to know how to build a winning CFB team at place that has the resources to succeed.

I think jobs like Texas, Bama, and Ohio State have a certain allure to him, from what reporters have said. Just my opinion.

None of those teams are hiring Kiffin. Yall just married a whore but are trying to convince yourself she's a good girl.

What's most odd about this to me is the fact that he came and left early.....that to me says more than just not coming or staying for the duration.

Then we have nothing to worry about.

Your coach has had more jobs in the last decade than Kiffin.

Yes. Why Yes I have. And its awkward.

You still have to keep up appearances. Because appearances are all some people see. You know ... like some 18-22 high testosterone ball players and some high ego donors.

Its a bad look. But I get it, on this board. Its going to be "everything is fine and frick you" right up until the divorce.

Do you understand that LSU will not be Lane Kiffin's last job ? He's going to leave. One way or the other. Either he wins and goes pro, or you fire him and his coaching career is done.

I'm betting on a messy divorce.

No one seems to care except other fans trying to troll

And also, every minor thing is a "bad look" or disaster or whatever.

So basically just like every other coach? They either get fired or they leave.

Hence my point - entirely. Going "All In" on this guy is the problem.

At some point, either he leaves you or you fire him. I'm betting on the latter.

People take receipts. This one for Kiffin ? Its going to dwarf Kelly and Coach O combined.

People understood the Kelly thing. Even Coach O. But at some point, like a woman on her third husband ? Its not them. Its you.

How is LSU any more "all in" than any other program with their coach?

Right now this is a small "issue" that's a little awkward more than anything. But roll the clock forward 3/4 years and if he's fired, you know every LSU fan on this board will say this is the moment they realized Kiffin was a fraud and it would never work.

Just like Kelly and his fake Cajun accent. At the time, it's absolutely nothing. But 3 years later it's when ever LSU fan says they knew it wouldn't really work out.

LSU is paying three coaches right now. And look - Kentucky sucks - they'll be paying Mark Stoops on layaway for years. Like my parents did for the shitty stuff at Consolidated Sales. I remember those days. Most white trash kids from the 70s do.

But my man - you're on Coach Number Three. That is a problem. And this cat isn't your Magic Bullet either.

The only way you won't be on Coach Number Four before Lane's contract expires is if you've paid out on Coach O.

LSU fans made a big deal about the grinding video and the accent thing, even at the time.

No LSU fan I know is even talking about Kiffin leaving the bowl game, it's not even a big deal.

I remember ESPN showing Napier (I think) leaving Florida's bowl game after he was hired and he was giving high fives on the way out. I doubt most incoming coaches stay for the entire game.
