I would not be upset if he came to State, though that’s a 10,000 to 1 chance….

Yep.

Any program not named Georgia (and probably Alabama at this moment and strangely Mizzou) would be happy to have him.

tRant logic about Nick Saban circa 2007 through 2015/16.

Here is what they were basing that on (Saban Resume):

Kent State GA & LB - 4 years
Syracuse OLB - 1 year
WVU DB - 2 years
Ohio State DB - 2 years
Navy - DB - 1 year
Michigan State DC/DB - 5 years
Houston Oilers DB - 2 years
Toledo - 1 year
Cleveland Browns DC - 4 years
Michigan State - 5 years
LSU - 5 years
Miami Dolphins - 2 years
Alabama - 17 years

Before Bama, Saban had never been anywhere more than 5 years. Bama was the right fit for him, and he decided to stay there.

Now, let's look at Kiffin's resume:

Fresno State assistant - 2 years
Colorado State GA - 1 year
Jacksonville Jaguars Quality Control - 1 year
USC TE/WR/PGC/OC - 6 years
Oakland Raiders - 2 years
Tennessee - 1 year
USC - 4 years
Bama OC/QB - 3 years
Florida Atlantic - 3 years
Ole Miss - 6 years (so far)

So, Kiffin hasn't been anywhere more than 6 years (yet). Maybe Ole Miss is the place where he decides to stick...maybe it's someplace else. We'll probably know in the coming months.

Almost all of those jobs were assistant coaching jobs, and he moved up. Staying for less than 5 years in those situations shows career growth, not job hopping.

The only job you listed that would be considered job hopping is leaving Miami after 2 years.

Maybe...if we check it out:

Saban was at Michigan State for 5 years, replacing George Perels who was there for 12...Mark Dantonio stayed there for 13.

He was HC at LSU for 5 years. Les Miles was there for 12 (and would have been there longer but he was fired), Ed Orgeron was there for 6 (and would have been there longer but he was fired).

Sure...the coordinator positions are all typically short in nature...what about his 1 year stint at Toledo? Since Saban was there in 1990, their head coaches were: Gary Pinkel (10 years), Tom Amstutz (8 years), Tim Beckman (3 years and fired), Matt Campbell (5 years), Jason Candle (11 years).

You are an idiot.

In the last 54 years (FIFTY FOUR YEARS), Ole Miss has finished in the AP top 15 only six times. Kiffin has three of those.

Some people just post shite based on no research at all or just what they've heard somebody else say.

What I love about this website is that sometimes a retard is able to hop the fence and leave the Rant. You are today’s retard.

6 years and not one SEC West title. Not one NC or getting into the playoffs.

I really hope he stays at Ole Miss. Lmao

Again, career growth. He went from Mich State to LSU and LSU to the pros. Both upward movement after 5 years. 5 years isn’t really job hopping. None of the coaches you listed can compare to Saban, that’s why they were in the jobs you listed for so long
