He didn’t kick him like a punt. It wasn’t a good look, but the kick was soft while in the air and to the chest.

Heath absolutely didn't kick him in the face. Kicked him in the shoulder pad. SHOULDER PAD. Barely. Moved his shoulder back a few inches at most.
The Tulsa guy was punching multiple MSU players then charged at Heath and punched him. The Tulsa guy then tripped over a State player on the ground (I don't think Heath even knows that), and then Heath kicked him in the shoulder pad. Heath might have helped push the player down but he definitely tripped over a State player on the ground.
The video was stupid but looks worse only because the ESPN guys wrongly said Heath kicked him in the face.

#3 for MSU started it, got his arse kicked, and then moved away. Then #4 threw player down, kicked at him, and ran away like little bitch. Somebody ripped the helmet off of one of the Tulsa player that tried to run off the field at which point both #4 and #81 tried to sucker punch him from behind and failed.
