We’ll be able to see how this all holds up on the field.
Most pre-season and early polls are just power rankings. Too few actually account for projected W-Ls based on the schedule ahead of the team. That comes later in the season, and, even then, they rarely get out of the last weekend's results and look forward.

Didn’t have ou and South Carolina smack talk on the card today. I guess it is July in offseason ?
Most of the SC fans I have interacted here with are pretty good posters. No idea how this turned into a cock fighting contest, perhaps those good posters are off the board this summer.

In today’s age where teams replace 35-50% of their rosters, preseason polls are nonsense
I never understand my opinions get so mad one way or the other based on where they are picked
I could see 6-8 sec teams that wouldn’t surprise me if they went 9-3 or 6-6
LSU does fall in that category.

The Georgia Leghumpers are too high because everyone knows Bama is going to beat them again.
But even if you do, it won't matter. You play Vanderbilt the very next Saturday, just like you did last season.

Shut up you’re literally South Carolina lol
Speaking of LOL: South Carolina 35, Oklahoma 9, on OU's field.

I mean I what I said about the SEC taking OU over USCe any day of the week isn’t smack, that was just a statement of fact.
And yet, the SEC welcomed South Carolina into the conference 34 whole years before they did Oklahoma. Sounds like you are the factually challenged one.

And yet, Mizzou still hasn’t won anything ever.
And speaking of LOL - check the Mizzou/OU game history. Now that’s good comedy!

Agree. South Carolina posters aren’t on my radar typically….but if you’re going to shite talk my alma mater better prepare for some hard truths coming back at you.

Then you won't mind giving me Bama and 7 for a little wager since youre so confident?

The dick riding of Vandy by respectable football teams that Bama continues to crush is an interesting development in the psyche of said fan bases.

Wow, I sure did strike a nerve. But uh, I guess when your team gets prison-raped by the long-time conference doormat, it makes a fanbase overly sensitive, huh?
And before you fire back about UGA losing to Bama the week before, don't bother. Yeah, we lost to Bama. Came back and took the lead then lost a close game in the 4th quarter to a perennial powerhouse. Is that more shameful than losing to Vandy?

Nice deflection. SC is even right there in the conference's acronym.
And living in the present day as opposed to decades in the past:
South Carolina > Oklahoma
Missouri > Oklahoma
Facts.
Might as well add Tennessee, Texas, Ole Miss, LSU and Navy while we're at it.
