This is absolutely false. OU has never applied for B1G membership, mainly because they have always felt the SEC a better fit. The only reason they did not join the SEC in 2012 was because Okie Lite was not invited and David Boren (OU's former president) didn't have the stones to leave them behind.
Feel free to provide legitimate proof of this claim... I won't hold my breath.

From sea to shinning sea the B!G 10 banner waves over all the little regional conferences.

Congratulations on adding two schools that have not won a revenue generating sport in many, many years.

The federal government demanded to place Sankey in charge just to give the other conferences a chance.

If Greg can do it, anyone can.

Kevin Warren is a hack that tried to cancel the 2020 Big10 football season for political purposes.

Then the SEC laughed and told them we’re playing. Then Warren does the biggest crawfish ever and says the Big 10 will play in 2020 after the SEC lead the way.

Now he’s once again being reactionary because the SEC is leading the way. He’s a goon.

The SEC is only regional. The B!G is nationwide. Kevin Warren just ran Sankey off the field.
A pussy's only regional, but that's where most ALL of us set our sights.
