This is a very good time to hire a coach. When we had these fantasies the last couple years it didn’t seem like nearly tho many good candidates. And with the two other SEC teams already making hires and other perceived powerhouses like Texas and Michigan staying put, it seems like and ideal time to go get somebody good.
That’s why I’m not buying the Steele stuff. I really do think it’s somebody on his end leaking that to improve his stock for another job.
Or maybe we are really that poor and scared to start from scratch

If we hired him and that’s a big IF, I think the OC would be key and might be groomed to take over when he retires in a couple of years.

If that were true, why not save the $ and keep Gus? He may never win 10 games again, but he likely won’t lose more than 5 either.
