Just testing out the waters with this. One of you guys could probably do it a lot better, I’m kinda stuck on mobile.

This is not a game thread. Saint said yesterday that he would allow a game week thread (ideally started on Sunday/Monday) where all the news for the week could be compiled.

I just thought I’d throw one together, even if it’s super late this week.

I know Kentucky is riding high with the new staff and all but I don't see it happening for them this week.

Excited to see Keelon against better competition

I unintentionally did it this week but I don’t want that responsibility. Too much pressure!

How uncomfortable this game ends up being will be directly related to the performance of our defense.

I do think Stein is going to be a good coach for UK if he isn’t as arrogant as he’s letting on.

I’m sure Wommack and co have studied Oregon game film extensively because there’s no way Kentucky opened the playbook against Youngstown State.

I don't understand how our return policy isn't just taking a knee. Starting at the 25 is better than the 15.

We haven't returned a kickoff for a TD since 2021.

As insane and fricked up as the state of CFB is today, offense and special teams are still in fact part of the game on Saturday.

The defense could play a perfect game, hold UK to less than 100 yards of total offense, turn them over 2-3 times, and pitch a shutout…. And I’ll still be uncomfortable as hell if we throw a pick on our own 25 yard line and UK is lining up for a chip-shot field goal three plays later with the score tied up 0-0 and 20 seconds left.

Still a team sport where a failure of any one unit can cost you.

I’m still far more concerned with the offense at this point.

Of course but I am saying that if the defense shuts them down it could be heartburn but not panic. If the defense has a mediocre to poor day then we’re in trouble.
