Calipari will not change his coaching ways, it doesn’t matter what program he’s at. He simply views Arkansas as a bigger paycheck. That’s the only reason why he took the job. Dude is an insane egomaniac who will manipulate his way into getting the highest paying contract.

You sound like an Aggie AD hiring a football coach

If you think your program can win a natty any year then you do have the duke level expectation.

"Consistent deep tournament runs" isn't "Final Four or Finals every year." We can be Elite Eight/Sweet 16 with some level of consistency, and we can do better than that when the conditions are right.

Stop doing this. You're not good at it.

And that coach left. How many elite 8s did Cal go to in that time frame

That is ironic considering that both Arkansas and Duke started to rise in the late 70s with both schools having similar histories.

Arkansas had two final fours in the 40s first while Duke didn't get to a final four until the 60s.

Arkansas had the highest winning percentage from 1978 to 1995.

The difference between the two is Duke has basketball and nothing else. Arkansas is a football minded program that has negated the basketball program since Nolan was fired.

But that changed with Muss and it looks to continue on with Cal.

It's good for both sides, or at least for UK. A fresh start at Arky is good for Cal, might remove the rust. Time will tell.

This gives Arkansas a good coach to provide stability since the AD wiffed on other guys.

This helps both schools IMO.

Y'all just overpaid for a coach who clearly was not wanted when he has the best talent nearly year in and year out.

This only helps out UK...y'all got fricked.
