BOOM!
That, and I think Billy Donovan has more street cred than Cal.

Ok,then what does that say about UK's conference play?
It says they played considerably more poorly in conference than Florida in conference. I think they more than made up for it with their out of conference play plus head to head (including today when they dominated UF).

UF was still 11-3. Better then just about every other team in the country against the top 50. No need to apologize for that. Also went 8-2 on the road and 4-2 on neutral courts.
All true. Florida is a good team that had a good season.

Who did Cuse beat OOC? Or in the top 10?
Their conference is head and shoulders above the SEC. Michigan and Michigan St. are their best out of conference wins (obvious advantage Florida). But they beat 6 top 25 teams and a top 10 team (Notre Dame). They have one bad loss (Seton Hall) that is not in the same league as UF's bad losses.
You are right about Purdue. Should have taken them out of that list.

I think the bigger contention should be with UNC, 2-4 against RPI top 50 teams. Why did they get a 2?
I have already stated I was surprised by the seed, but it is hard to ignore a top 5 SOS and top 8 RPI.
I could see an argument for Cuse, but they were going to give us Tampa and since there was only one top 3 seed in Tampa, I guess they gave it to us. I think all things considered they saw a team that won the conference and awarded that over a team that a similar resume and did not win theirs IMO.

Look, Florida is very good. After today, I think they should have been a low 3 or high 4 though. The entire Southeast Region was poorly constructed. The 2, 3, and 4 seeds are all the worst on that seed line.

You finally came back
Since when is top 20 the cutoff? Florida passes Kentucky at the top 27.

I'm not that upset about it. It sucks, but if it's meant to be then it will happen.

I wouldn't say Ky got screwed. I would say the entire SEC got screwed..........

Then why the top 50? That is what everyone has cited the entire thread.
And the the top 20 (or 25) shows that Florida's 11-3 record is inflated by wins against the bottom half of the top 50. When they have played elite competition, their record isn't so good.

When I saw UK's seed, I knew Alabama was cooked.

I think there is seeding issues all over the bracket, hell I think I would rather be the 3 seed playing St.Johns or Gonzaga in round 2 instead of the winner of UCLA/Mich.St.

I don't even like UK, they are just the best basis for comparison. They played better competition and won the head to head (and blew out UF today). Their only negative is that they were 3 games worse in conference. Would it have been better if they were one game back (won at Ole Miss, at Arkansas) and lost to Jacksonville and UCF out of conference?
The Big East teams aren't as easy to compare but I'd take a number of them over UF (UCONN, Louisville, Syracuse).

I'm really pissed Auburn wasn't even talked about as a bubble team....
So the fact UK is in I don't feel sorry for them. AU beat many good teams like Georgia Southern, Middle TN, Grambling, Arkansas PB, and who can forget the mighty LSU. I am floored we were overlooked.

+1, but the seeding issues in the Southeast are the worst. Not just with Florida, but BYU as well. No way they should be a 3 without Davies. I'd be less annoyed if BYU or UF were put with the best 2 or 3 seed, but they were matched with the worst. Plus the 4 is Wisconsin. Pittsburgh fans have to be elated.
