Yes obviously you care. There would be nothing to deflect if you didn't throw something out there that can be deflected.

With higher rated recruiting classes pre-2012, a 'successful' B10 coach, and more success in recent history under Nutt and Petrino, the summation of Arkansas under Bert is "not worse than Kentucky."

He obviously is not a coach by the way FSU didn't miss a beat in his absence, they actually improved, Kentucky with him? Not so much.

Which is fine, I am here too and its all good fun. And quite frankly many Arky posters are downright good at it.
I just don't get why this issue has brought out your big guns.
Without any good answers from yall, I think it has something to do with the fact that yall consider UK below Bert's current program so you CAN talk down to them. But I will admit this concept of "earning" trash talk is confusing to me as an Aggie so I would appreciate some clarification.

no I'm aware of the facts as to why CMS got the extension, which are humorous btw.
the facts that don't want to be accepted now are in regards to bert. why you guys brought him into the conversation I don't know considering this thread is about CMS. It's almost like ya'll are trying to deflect attention from what this thread is about...

He is a recruiter. A very good recruiter. That's why he got an extension. I'm not sure why you can't comprehend that fact. If Bert were as good at recruiting, I think he would deserve an extension as well.
But he's being out-recruited by a first year head coach at a program that hasn't won an SEC game since 2011. So I'm sure that's a sore spot for you.

He's not a coach because he was only able to field the #5 defense in the nation while Pruitt fielded the #1 defense?
If he's 'obviously' not a coach because the defensive rankings went from #5 to #1, what do you say about Bert given that:
John L. went 4-8 while Bert went 3-9.
Bert went 7-5 while Anderson went 9-3.
By your logic, obviously Bert is obviously neither a coach or a recruiter.

The thread was about Stoops getting an extension, and the first few responses were stating that he improved recruiting tremendously.
Then Bert's 'successful' recruiting was mentioned and it all blew up in hog-fan faces as their attempts to ridicule UK for the extension was turned back agaisnt them.
If your question is simply why was CMS extended, the answer is because he is doing a great job recruiting and having a long-term contract helps project both stability and longevity, further supporting his efforts on the recruiting trail.
But if you aren't a drooling mongoloid, you alread knew that and now you're sitting around looking stupid because all of your 'lol bad coach' arguments apply equally or moreso to Bert.

The extension would make sense if Kentucky had a cap for contract lengths for state employees.
Kentucky does not, apparently, and Stoops gets an extension for going winless in the SEC and losing to a sunbelt school. Anything else is deflecting and spinning the actual facts.
