I like to consider things this way....

Which program are trending, have been trending higher in the recent past (10 Years)?

I believe AR and Miss State are definitely the two to consider more than others in this scenario.

One of us has to knock Oregon State out. We owe them that

Uh so have we, not sure being the best loser twice is the greatest bragging point though.

I place MSU and Arky about even although the numbers dont really bear it out, wanna guess which way they lean in totality?

Lets not get lost in the weeds looking for nuggets to salve our ego, they are both very good programs that need some hardware to take the next step.

I didn't choose the measuring device and just pointed out that the measurement was wrong.

Personally, not only do I place Arkansas and MSU about even, but I'd also put both higher then Vanderbilt, because long term success is worth more than a national championship, imo. If I'm wrong, then why is no one mentioning Missouri?

When was the first runner-up for MSU? It doesn't show up on Wikipedia for some reason.

I think he's referencing 1985.

State has only played in 1 Championship series in the new format

Go look at our baseball series over the last decade.

It's looks fairly similar to State's.
