Not trolling at all. I know he can never talk about it , but I would guarantee you Kelly wishes he had made a better decision that day is all I am saying

It's likely that everyone involved probably does, that's a common human reaction.

It is odd, however, that so many focus only on Kelly as the scapegoat for that incident when there were numerous other people who were more "negligent" and held more responsibility for what happened than Kelly.

Had Kelly actually been negligent and at fault, the university could have simply fired him and avoided the entire PR nightmare.

I didn’t start this thread . Just stated that Kelly has some responsibility for someone’s death. LSU fans can deflect all you want but it’s the truth

It is a W in my mind. Not sure what the OP had in mind , but to say Kelly ( and to be fair other coaches) couldn’t have looked in the end zone or sideline view and tell a person videoing his practice to come down bc of high winds is putting your head in the sand

I mean there are two choices.

Believe the feelings of ignorant Alabama fans attempting to troll.

-or-

Believe the findings of actual investigations into the event itself.

Again, if Kelly were actually responsible for the death of the student, he would have at least been partially implicated. It would have been fairly easy to just fire him and avoid the PR nightmare.

The several month long investigation after the fact does not support your conclusion, so no, it’s not actually “the truth.” It’s your own fiction.

It was a tragedy, and it’s a really bad look when fools attempt to leverage the loss of that kid’s life as a troll opportunity on a message board.

Do better.

This is at least a statement that can start to an honest response. As is the case in ANY of these tragic situations, I'm sure everyone that was present that day feels some sort of guilt and responsibility for what happened. ANYONE could have stopped it. The fact that no one did probably speaks to the reality of the situation that no one realized that there was any real danger. The person that was killed most likely didn't even realize it unfortunately.

The world is a fricked up place and dumb shite happens to good people all the time. A soccer player was just killed by a lightning strike on the field. Is his coach responsible for his death? Is the referee? Is the league office? What about the weatherman or the other players on the field? Again, any of these people could have spoken up. But, obviously no one realized that there was any imminent danger.
