Decommitting to play for a mediocre program 3000 miles away is a slap in the face.
All for your brother, who most likely won't play a snap for them. If he were to play S, he missed a golden opportunity to be tutored by one of, if not the, very best db coaches in the land. I hope the perk$ help ease the mediocrity he'll face for the next 4.

Keenan Allen is gone and I wish him luck. I hope King, Maynord, and him have a good career out there.

Keenan Allen is not gone. He'll think about it, and figure out whether he wants to be a champion, or someone who plays for an "also ran".
Maybe he'll make the right choice.

As good of a talent evaluator as Saban is he's not perfect - LSU lost Vince Young who was recruited as a WR although with Jamarcus Russell on board I doubt he would have come anyway, Pat White who Saban wanted to move to WR or CB, Brandon Jacobs who Saban wanted to move to LB or DE. They all have NFL careers at the positions they wanted to play.
Vince Young was in the 2002 class. JR was in the 2003 class.

Facts. They always get in the way of a good LSU Saban putdown.

FWIW, I think Pat White would've made a hell of a DB and Jacobs would've been a hell of a defensive player.... you can't really fault him for missing on those evaluations b/c almost everyone recruiting them was thinking the same thing.

FWIW, Allen is no longer listed as a commit to Alabama, per Rivals. I'm really amazed three kids form North Carolina are going to school at Cal. Not to mention, they've offered Allen's brother, and his family is apparently moving to California. Great school, obviously, but where was this recruiting prowess in Tedford's first seven years?

for what its worth I don't think we get Coleman either.
But we should get Arie Kouandjio which is big even besides the fact that his younger bro is probable 5 star next year. Also we still have a chance at James Stone and who knows there might be somebody else. Not going to be nearly as eventful a NSD as the last two years. Although that was always going to be the case this year which isn't a bad thing.

I'm starting to feel better about Auburn keeping SC. The longer we go without news from him, the better Auburn's chances are.
