Everyone knew BJ was a corner except BJ now he is behing the learning curve and an will probably never be the contributor he could have been.

Isn't DJ Howard going through a similar situation at Auburn?

This where the BJ Scott situation hurts you. Keenan is not a WR he is a safety. Letting kids play where they want when you know they are better suited to play other positions only hurts that player.

Keenan wants to play WR, from what I read he is just as good a prospect there as he would be at safety. Plus, if you don't give him the option to try, he's just gonna go somewhere else.

Saban needs to sign you up as a talent evaluator right now.

Scott was listed as an athlete. And WR was thought to be a weak spot. It just did not workout. Allen is a WR/S.

BOL mods have changed their confidence level on KA. They are now predicting that KA is going to Cal.

I didn't know this but apparently we were screwed by Buffalo, of all things, because they wouldn't allow Maynard a release to follow Gill to Kansas. Buffalo WTF.

Oh well, not surprising, the last couple of days its just seemed like a bunch of people trying to convince themselves it would all work out. This has looked bad for a while.

Yeah, its just one of those things. Had Gil never left, this would have never been an issue. We still have an incredible group of WR's coming in.

He visited over the weekend, I assume they'll take Maynard and plus he's good friends with Gabe King who's a Cal lock and who was on the trip, not to mention they most likely found somebody in the Allen family a job.

As good of a talent evaluator as Saban is he's not perfect - LSU lost Vince Young who was recruited as a WR although with Jamarcus Russell on board I doubt he would have come anyway, Pat White who Saban wanted to move to WR or CB, Brandon Jacobs who Saban wanted to move to LB or DE. They all have NFL careers at the positions they wanted to play.

I have no idea. Someone posted earlier that the whole family is moving out there. Strange to say the least. I will say that KA's good friend Gabe King is also probably going to Cal.

fair enough but Keenan Allen wanted to play WR which differentiates him from the rest of those guys.
