LSU actually should live in the past since you have no future

Nick Saban killed the program. There ain’t no following up that act.

True. But more than that, Saban killed LSU some time ago.

Truly one of the most brain dead fanbases in the conference as your post shows.

Its always a challenge to follow an icon. Will be interesting to see how this ends up over next 5 years.

Not the same but similar to Riley following Bob Stoops. He was handed a title team and then pissed it away vs GA in the Rose Bowl. Then every year he did a bit worse until he didn’t even make the conf title game.

Not saying this will happen to Bama but it bears watching over time. It didn’t happen all at once but over time. Fans are kinda happy because they win a lot but then they start to lose head scratching games.

To be honest - and this is true for every new HC - who they pick as OC/DC makes a bigger difference than the HC. Riley had Grinch and kept him and defense fell apart and cost us natties with the most orolific run of QBs ever. Venables picked Lebby and then Littrell and the offense fell apart. Now he has Arbuckle and jury is still out but he has a lot of potential once Oline is fixed and QB is healthy.

But regardless, its hard to follow Saban and his success led to high expectations. He is a one of, so no one should expect the same results.
