The 2019 LSU Tigers gave up 400+ rushing yards to a really shitty 4-8 Ole Miss team.
2023 Florida State — barely survived 3–9 Boston College 31–29.
2022 Michigan — needed late heroics to beat Illinois 19–17 after the Illini collapsed down the stretch.
2021 Oklahoma — Tulane (2–10) pushed them 40–35, and Kansas (2–10) actually had them losing in the 4th quarter.
2019 Georgia — almost lost to 4–8 South Carolina (and actually did lose).
2019 Ohio State — Maryland (3–9) took them to OT and missed a wide-open 2-point try (52–51).
2018 Clemson — undefeated national champs but almost got clipped by 4–8 Syracuse 27–23.
2017 Georgia — Missouri (bad early season) had them in a shootout early before collapsing.
2014 Florida State — the kings of cardiac wins: BC (20–17), Miami, NC State, Louisville, and Florida all nearly got them.
2007 Ohio State — Illinois (not a good team) pushed them and actually beat them, ruining their perfect season.
2005 USC — Fresno State nearly shocked them in a 50–42 shootout.
1998 Tennessee — needed the legendary “Stoerner stumble” to escape 5–6 Arkansas 28–24; also nearly lost to Syracuse 34–33.
