Yep. I also think Durham will be RB2. Durham runs legit 10.2's.

Not if he can't block.

Yep, crazy to think we still have 2 rbs with rings. Emery got hurt again yesterday. I think Durham is rb 2 by mid season.

I think we see more running from the rbs this season. With Jayden the offense was different. Give Durham the ball and he won't have to block.

I agree here. Let Jackson make his own legacy. You can’t compare anyone with Earl Campbell. That’s like saying Josh Williams is like Walter Payton

Pee-paw, we faced Earl Campbell every year of his college career. LSU never faced him.

So tell these people more stories about your knowledge of Earl Campbell.

LOL, yea I appreciate Williams for all he's done. He was money vs Bama in Kelly's first season. That said, no one will compare him to Payton.

He's run a 10.6 and he weighs 235. Defenses will learn throughout the season.

He ran a 10.66 as a sophomore then a 10.9 as a 200lb Jr. He's playing 235 so I wouldn't expect a 10.6.

I'm sure he'll be solid but right now you got some kool aid in your system

College training vs HS training makes a huge difference.

Yeah, but we also lost 1 of our 2 scholarship TE's that can block.

Plus, none of those numbers really mean anything in pads.

The point is, at that weight and speed you can't let him get to open field or you're fighting against physics.

Beotch I live in Houston. Went to over 30 Oiler games he played in. Also saw his last game as a Saint in the Super Dome when they played the Pats in preseason. Texas was on tv almost every weekend when he was there. So what else you got son ?

To eclipse 1000 yds, he'll likely need a minimum of 200 carries, which Kelly hasn't had in a RB (Daniel's effect) at a LSU and only had 4 x at ND:
1. Cierre Wood (2011) – 217
2. Kyren Williams (2020/2021) – 211/204
3. Josh Adams (2017) – 206

If it's short yardage they can send in another O lineman.

Think Earl Campbell.

You can be a great RB and still not be close to being at the level of Earl Campbell.

I saw Earl play multiple college football games in-person. My old man went out and got Oilers season tickets the day after Earl was drafted. I likely watched him play more NFL games in-person than anyone on this board. There is no one in CFB right now I have seen that deserves an Earl comparison.

What I've got, is Earl was a violent RB (more of a fast FB) powered by a horse's arse and a pair of 34" thighs.

You don't have an Earl Campbell.

Know how I know that?

Because there will never be another Earl Campbell.

Were you at the dome when they played the Steelers on MNF ? The Luv Ya Blue placards waving ? Might have been the most electric NFL game I've ever been to. Just an amazing game and time for Houston.

This has been said about many rbs. Then there was Herschel. Then Bo, etc.

Earl Campbell is one of the most unique RBs of all time in college football history, even compared to Bo and Herschel. They weren't like him either.

I can appreciate you came in here all drunk on practice reports from fall camp and started posting ridiculous nonsense. I get it.

You don't have an Earl Campbell.
