I work with his brother and he stated Justin is 95% sure he is going to LSU because the coaching staff told him he could play QB. 5'11" 175 any thoughts.

Good for him, if LSU will take him.

How old is he? Never thought I'd say this but we're set at QB for like 5 years

Class of 2012, so I'm guessing 17 or 18.

If Russell Shepherd is just a third string receiver it is sad Justin believes otherwise.

He will be a senior this year. Very fast but is recovering from knee surgery from playing basketball this summer.

can he play anything else? i could see him coming then due to so much talent at qb shifting to another position if he is good enough.

you act like RS wasnt given a chance at qb.

Ok.... No
Since when do we let a QB under 6'2 start?

I agree with the "if true" part of your post. We don't know if true yet. The "oh well" post is off though. Thomas is gonna be a player. Not a QB, but a player. He has David Palmer quickness with more straightline speed. He can play slot receiver, KR/PR, or corner and has the ability to be All SEC at any of those by his JR year. Losing him would not be "oh well" unless we had another equally talented player commit to fill his spot.

I agree he will be a receiver or play in the return game but won't play QB in the SEC.

He was?

We all knew where he would play coming out of HS.

I don't doubt he's extremely talented and could become a star, but we stay so loaded with talent, we'll always have somebody who can get the job done, whether it's him or somebody else. I hope we keep him, but I'm past the point of biting my nails over recruits.

I'll say this, if he is 95% sure then tell his brother to tell Justin to switch now. We have 6 spots and will likely fill 2-3 this weekend
That leaves Collins, liggins/winston, Alford and Vadal as the most likely last few guys.

My thoughts are that you are lying to us, or the LSU coaching staff is lying to Justin Thomas.
